randomly thought id ask this, since there have been a lot of main antagonists in jojo's.

i absolutely love part 7, and funny valentine is by far the best villain in the series for me. but there's also kira or pucci who are both great in their own ways.

sorry if its weird that dio is on here twice lol, i just thought there's enough difference between his two main roles.

For me, the two weakest are Diavolo and Toru.
Due to how great the others are, Kars is third from the bottom.
The rest make it a really tough choice and it comes down to personal bias. For me the best would be Kira and (controversial opinion maybe) Pucci right behind him. A psycho/sociopath and a fanatic, something you can find irl easily

heavy agree on diavolo and toru

diavolo is probably the worst aspect of part 5. araki gave one of the least interesting mf's ever one of the most interesting stands. he couldve been cool in some other timeline, but what we got was really weak.

toru had the potential to be a fantastic villain. all the thematic elements were there... its just that he was introduced far too late with little fanfare. wonder of u is awesome, though. (i also personally think gappy got mishandled pretty badly, which lessened the impact of his dynamic with toru)
the implication that toru was basically just roleplaying as his own stand was really funny, at least

Even diavalos green haired henchman was more memorable for me

Part 8 in general was very forgettable for me.

Enrico Pucci, to me, is a character you can sympathize with. He himself thought he was doing things for the greater good, but was ultimately selfish to the core.

Even at an early age, he was stricken with survivor's guilt over thinking he was the only twin to survive his birth. He devoted his life to faith and helping others, most likely to justify his own existence. Doing so led him to the uncomfortable realization that the man his sister was dating was their long-lost brother, Wes.

He tried to hide this information from the couple and tried to separate the brother and sister by paying a corrupt detective to scare them, which resulted in Wes being mortally wounded and Perla committing suicide in the confusion.

Unable to cope with the guilt for his involvement, Pucci fled to DIO and adopted the concept of Gravity: the belief that every event that transpires happens for a reason and cannot be avoided.

So determined to prove that he was not at fault for his sister's death, Pucci did several horrible acts to obtain the Ultimate Stand, which he used to create a world where everyone had already experienced every event in their life, allowing them to know exactly what would happen to them before it happened. They could not change their fate, but Pucci hoped them knowing beforehand would allow them to face destiny with resolve and happiness, knowing that it was an inevitability and no fault of their own.

To me, Pucci represents humanity's inability to cope with the chaos of the universe and their reluctance to reflect on themselves, while being so quick to judge everyone else around them.

Diavolo and Kira are great too, BTW.

It’s technically Pucci because he has the most moral complexity and writing to him

But of course being well written is different from being the most interesting or compelling or entertaining… DIO Valentine and Kira fall in those other categories
