If Kid is one-shotted, loses his crew and almost his life, and comes back only to attack CG for more petty revenge, then he'd earn the trophy as dumbest character ever.
I don't think even Oda could hate Kid that much.

Agreed.

Vergo isn't coming back. Both his ending and Monet's paralleled nicely the SHs' faith in Luffy to become PK, even at the cost of their lives. It was a nice moment, showing that Dofla, despite being the patricide tyrant bastard that he was, still had people earnestly caring for him.

That being said, I do expect Monet to reappear in some background panel, chilling. Oda never kills off his fanservice vessels.
