Questions & Mysteries Why are the former Yonko commanders all washed and irrelevant now?

#1
Whitebeard pirates: So, while this crew was given a mention by the Gorosei to potentially beat the Whitebeard pirates, they lost hard, losing all their territory to Blackbeard and even Big Mom. Marco spends his days crying in Whitebeards birthplace, until he gets asked to go to Wano by the minks. When he is gone, the island is plundered by Weevil. We later find out this island was plundered by the marines

This means that Marco could not trust a single other member of the former WBP to protect Whitebeards home island for like, 5 minutes. The corrupt marine was ready for this too, so it doesn't seem like even fodder Marines were possibly worried about Vista or Jozu being around

And another thing happening at this same time is that Weevil, a warlord who is whitebeards actual son, is going around killing all of Whitebeards former allies, with not a single former member of that crew even attempting to stop him.

So with WB dead, not a single one of his former crewmates cares about protecting their family anymore and are okay with basically all of them being killed by Weevil. If Vista and Jozu are still alive, this is a huge L for them. If they were killed by the Blackbeard pirates, but no one ever specifically mentions him killing those two, Oda really doesn't care about them. And if they weren't killed by Blackbeard himself, but by his crewmates......... not a good look.

Big Mom Pirates: with Big Mom leaving for Wano and dying(?)

the Big Mom pirates failed to keep Caesar and Germa imprisoned, with Caesar the clown dealing with Katakuri and Oven

and Cracker easily being stopped

during the actual Egghead arc we see they're just hanging out in Totoland watching the broadcast, making no attempt to save their former crewmate from Blackbeard, something Moria did.

and keep in mind, this was just a minor appearance with no important dialogue in 1119. The big reaction piece chapter during the broadcast was 1114, where important characters were shown and given dialogue, like Doflamingo and Shirahoshi

1115 has slightly less important characters reacting like Momo and so on.(To be clear, there's exceptions, like the Roger pirates were shown when Vegapunk mentioned the Roger pirates, Imu was shown when the war still happening was mentioned). Also, Lord Kuri still has his mask.......... Not only are these clowns not trying to save their sibling, avenge Big Mom, or trying to remain in control of their other territories, they don't even have anything interesting to say about the broadcast going on, just watching without any important thoughts like NPC's

The Beast pirates: So, a weak after Kaido dies, the Beast pirates were partying and drinking until they tried to challenge Aramaki and get put down easily.

So first of all, what is the broader picture here? One week after the raid, where Kaido dies, the beast pirates are now drinking together, holding a party. This means they were in okay enough shape to drink and even try fighting Aramaki(he says give it a rest already, implying they were doing something to him, and Aramaki has later implied he was only interested in getting Luffy, so there's no reason he would instigate a fight with the former Beast pirates). So this means, after Kaido is dead, king and queen have no ambitions in Wano after spending decades on the island. They do not even try think of revenge on the people who killed their captain. Keep in mind Kaido saved King from being tortured, and this clown is more concerned with having a drink then avenging his former captain. They are then easily dealt with Aramaki, who is barely paying attention to them. When Kaido is dead, these guys are totally fine with bumming around in Wano, no interest in trying to take over any other islands, or even check on the other confirmed beast pirate territory(there's potentially more too.) Later in the Yamato cover story, we see Whos fucking Who becoming a leader of some of the remaining beast pirates. Kidnapping people, stealing swords, attempting executions...... Meanwhile King, Queen and Jack sit around doing nothing in Udon or something, likely not even getting offers to work under Whos Who, or even on his radar like Ulti is.

Now for the record, this is what happens when an important characters in OP is no longer working for someone, Mihawk gets a job offer 5 minutes after the warlord system is ended.
and Moria gets an offer to work under Blackbeard

Or Jimbei, getting an offer from Big Mom and Luffy.

So except from Marco who did get an offer from Shanks, why isn't anyone trying to recruit the former WBP, Beast pirates and Big Mom pirates? Why are all of them basically irrelevant in the story now, despite having resources and fodder? Could any of the YC's have been important pirates in the new world without hiding under Whitebeard, Kaido and Big Mom? And does Oda himself look down upon YC's since he made the new Yonkos two characters who were offered the position of being YC's but rejected it?(Blackbeard who rejected the opportunity to become a 2nd division commander, and Buggy rejected the opportunity to work under Shanks when he started his crew). And in the new meta of One Piece, do any of them have the hopes of achieving anything like several former warlords already have?

Because there purpose in the story is over they might show up here and there as cameos but they'll no longer play a major role going forward, there's already enough characters to juggle without trying to pencil in every single commander into the story

Bro, this manga is the one where Wapol returned and saw Imu. Oda loves nothing more then bringing back old villains

But are YC1s relevant? King got beat up with Queen lol.
Tell me lunarians ain't relevent lol.
Egghead focussed it even more and Even in the flashback and final war.
Katakuri got most attention out of all Commanders in WCI.
Marco is more relevent than any other commander
Sabo is more relevenet than any other commander
Benn is more (probably will be) Relevent than other commander
Rayleigh , I don't even have to say anything.
It's a sequence ,

Seraphims do use lunarian Dna, but did they even do anything important? They fought the SH for a couple chapters I guess? Beyond that we still don't know much about Lunarians, and no one seems to be interested in tracking down King for being g lunarian
Kata was, but since WCI he is as irrelevant as his siblings
Marco,l guess, but even he couldn't run the WBP for long or even beat anyone in Wano.
Sabo is different since he's a revolutionary army member, not a Yonko commander
Beckman probably, I guess.
Rayleigh wasnt a commander or anything though, he was just straight up Rogers right hand man, meaning he knows the truth of the void century and what the OP is.

Which was a cameo, meaning they might appear here and there but they won't have any kind of significant role

Also Wapol is cool enough to bring back and he has ties to both Vivi and Chopper and is a member of the reverie kingdoms he's a very important character in the grand scheme of things

Meanwhile there really is no need or reason to give say Vista a lot of screen time

Whitebeard pirates are done and gone, and all he's ever done was clash with Mihawk for 5 minutes

The First Commanders are too tied with their former crews theme and plot to for example to join Cross Guild, but at the same time they weren't the main characters of the group, and not even the second in most cases, so they also have not much reason to get back into the story more than some random cameos.

Because they've been defeated and played their role in the story already? The manga is in the final stage where Pirate King contenders and the WG are the focus.

Though Katakuri could easily return as a somewhat major character
