ELectricity only heat things up when they have a tiny resistance, like a copper wire across the ends of a battery, but rubber has a resistnace that is billion billion thousand times that, so a rubber band across a 9 volt battery doesn't make you feel anything. ELectricity ionises the air and makes it function likem a battery, and it's this build up of charged air molecules that heat the air, but as rubber has such a high resistance the build up of heat won't be that great, as opposed to a human or a tree that has both high water content and sap, both of which are excellent conductors of electricity

Ther better question is how did Zoro, Usopp, Sanji and others survive that much of electricity gone through them without instantly killing them since they're normal human being??

How Did Zoro survive losing that much blood in Thriller Bark??

How did Usopp survive that much blunt force trauma to the face from Mr.4 and Ms Merry Christmas in Alabasta??

How Jinbe and Whitebeard sustained Akainu lethal injuries and still survived.

So many instances I can think of that would make a person wonder how it happend in one piece when in real world it wouldn't make sense. Not just in one piece but in every manga and anime.

This is anime not real world, things that make sense in real world doesn't mean a thing in manga and anime world sense its fiction and to make it more interesting writers might surpass the logic of our world to bring alternate worlds where things beyond our imagintion exist.

He was referring to the melted gold not ruining Luffy's arm.

This is something lost on alot of these smucks. Just watch and enjoy the cool, absurd, and fun... image what they'd say if they watched Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

This is one of the biggest reason people can't enjoy one piece properly. they question anime and manga to reality logic which is silly.

We're talkign about a world where devil fruit that grant powers exist. People of different shapes and sizes differ extremly. Normal human can break stones with their bare hands. Such is all anime not one piece alone.

Appreciate the brilliance of imagination that created a world so wonderful like one piece and you will surely enjoy one peice as it should be.
