Shiki even attacked Mary Geoise just because he heard about Roger's execution, saying that Roger was the spirit of every pirate. When he met Whitebeard, he also expressed his sadness when Roger died.

However, Shiki dont care if Rock is death. He even states if Rock would be death, it would make no difference, he wouldnt even blink an eye

Imo I think Oda didn't always have Xebec in his plans. And even if he did he probably hadn't fleshed out his relationships with other key people. We will probably see a some plot/character holes due to this.

Yeah, Shiki didnt care about Rocks. He was just one of Rocks commanders for years and never left the crew because he never cared about Rocks

They didn't clash with each other to gauge their strength, each of them think they are the strongest among the crew.

They follow Xebec just because he is the guy came up with the plan.

Xebec didn't win the trust and respect from the crew, each of them dislike each other and have too high ego for their own good.

Shiki always respect figure by power. He berated marine for executing Roger in East Blue, the place for he consider as weakest on the sea. He also respecting his crew in golden lion pirate based on their power. It seems Xebec really not that strong which already didnt get respect from Shiki.

Garp also underestimate situation in God Valley when Rock is coming. Meanwhile he suddenly excited when he heard Roger is appeared too.

Actually, there is other weird in the Shiki's statement. He claimed that every crew of Rok is on their own not just following. Its not representing crew from Davy Jone game who should vowed to their new captain
