Character Discussion Why did Zoro get a Nerf sword?

#1

Why is Zoro the only one who didn't get free bonuses in vano. He had a top 1 vano shusui blade (top 21 class), but he was stripped of it and given a nerf sword of the same class instead, which makes Zoro weaker during the fight with King, sucking Zoro's strength into the void. It wasn't a Zoro vs Yc1 fight, it would be a Zoro vs yc1+nerf sword fight. Zoro had to subdue the nerf sword with his powerful haki during the fight so that he would stop interfering with him and thanks to this Zoro carried his haki. That is, as usual, Zoro thoroughly strengthened himself by going through difficulties and trials at the same time fighting with yc1 King > Latakuri. Lanji and Goofy, Lo, just got free bonuses, science and the fruit of god and the fruit for 5kkx is 90% And now this power is with 90% of their abilities. Why are swordsmen not given gifts, but only nerf swords, while selecting the top 1 vano sword?

Nerf sword?
The magic sword who allowed Zoro to unlock powers he didn't know he had and came out of nowhere? Powers that allowed him to achieve things he could not even imagine before he had the magic legendary sword?
The same sword that has been wanked for chapters as the only sword that scarred the strongest creature of the universe?
Are you reading two piece again?
Don't cry bitch. Zoro defeated both Nerf sword and King in a battle with Nerf sword +Yc1 with his mighty khaki. Cry. By the way, Ame no habakiri from the top 21 left a kaido scar no less than a nerf sword.

Enma is not a nerf.
When Zoro was unable to control the blade that was because Zoro was still too weak.
Now Zoro has control over CoC and Enma is no longer an issue.

You could call it a nerf before, but actually no one was forcing him to use the blade.

Enma is a great blade, but for Zoro it was a nerf. For he did not know what the sword wanted from him. He wasn't weak to him, he didn't know what the blade wanted from him.

Yes, that's why I don't deny that Enma made Zoro stronger (albeit by nerf)
I was just saying that a lack of knowledge is also a form of weakness. This was not the problem though with Enma. Not entirely anyways.
Zoro may not have been able to control CoC yet, even if he knew Enma required it.

Thinking about it more it is kind of conflicing. Enma did hinder Zoro so it could be considered a nerf. Then on the other hand it made him take control of his CoC which is a PU. For 99% of the time Enma was no nerf since Zoro was able to suppress the haki draining of it.
Suppose this will remain a controversial topic for a while still.

I agree in many ways, besides the fact that enma needs acoc, she needs a large amount of acoa.

Following the haki logic (even with the slightest, minimum consistency we got from Oda till now) once you reach a certain level of expertise/powerlevel it doesn't really matter what you use.
Kaido for instance just used some random unranked club. Yamato too.
Meme's sword napoleon claimed it's just a regular sword when it was attacked on rooftop. Hell L.uffy and Garp use sandals and fists. Swordsmen only channel their haki through something additional. They could also just use fists. But Oda rarely uses that just like he never gave some established DF-less top tier a devil fruit. Imagine 40yo Garp would have gone and asked the Fleet Admiral for some fancy logia. Or Roger coming across the Goro Goro no mi and actually eating it. Oda likes to establish fighting styles for people and sticks to it. Doesn't mean there aren't options (see Teach and his crew).

Enma enabled zoro to realize how to channel his CoC. Also it tends to use more haki from the wielder than usual. But that's only a matter of control. It's basically harder to control. Zoro could have put the same shitton amount of CoA into a spoon and could have cut the cliff too.

For top tiers swords and weapons basically are like Rolex. They've got wealth, notoriety, chance, opportunities to lay their hands on expensive legendary tools. But just as a casio watch, the Rolex also just displays you the time.

After all:

Gear 5 would have lost to kaido if L.uffy's haki bloom during battle wouldn't have exceeded kaido's.

Such a nerf he changed his sword style to Enma :milaugh::milaugh:
Lol, Zoro had hell-themed receptions 800 chapters ago.

He needs a sword that can exerts out his Haki so he could reach full potential.

After chapter 1033, Zoro independently manifests his haki on all swords, enma is no longer needed. He showed it on Sandai Kitetsu and he simultaneously showed acoa on three swords by changing haki to green.
