Surely it is well known that the Ope Ope no mi can cure almost any disease.

What’s more, Law was even a well known pirate at the time. Ace even mentioned his name to Yamato, an event I believe happened near the time Kuma was looking for doctors to cure Bonney.

I feel like at the very least, Oda should have shown Kuma asking Law for help with Law stating that even his powers can’t cure Bonney.

Otherwise this scenario honestly seems a bit contrived.

Because Law was only known as a North Blue pirate at that point in time and was probably decently adept at hiding. You'd have to be, if Doflamingo was after your devil fruit. But there's a very low chance that Kuma knew about the Ope Ope or that Law was adept enough with it to help Bonney.

I guess ultimately tho Kuma’s goals are more in line with Vegapunk than Judge or Queen.

Vegapunk’s pacifista, while being weapons for the WG, would still reduce crime.

However Judge and Queen are much worst. Kaido was oppressing Wano and Judge would have probably been a shit ruler.

Ultimately Kuma would rather sacrifice himself for peace than live and be evil.

If Vegapunk really does give Dragon the ultimate pacifista authority, then Kuma’s sacrifice would have been worth it.
