None of those are promises, they're things you wanted and thought would happen but didn't.
Few readers can understand that.
The guys here created so much headcanon and expectations with things they think should happen, that its a reality check when they realize that what they wanted wont happen.
Seriously, Wano isnt my favorite Arc, not even close to It, and some parts of the Raid were really a pain in the ass, expecially in the start with all the running around and useless Wano characters, but i dont get why now in the end there is soo much shitstorm, a lot of what is happening was obvious since the start, like who would fight who or that Kaido and BM would be defeated, yet as the things started to happen more and more people started to have headcanons crushed and entered in this denial state of "OMG what i have in my mind dont happend? This manga is shit"
I love OP, but its a fucking Shonen manga, of course Oda does some very surprising and cool things, but a lot of what happen in the story isnt that different from any other standart shonen and u dont need to be a rocked scientist to get it lol. Yet some readers put ALL their enjoyment of the Arc in some theories happening, and spend the last years waiting for it and now cant cope with it all being headcanon.
I'm not hyped by the end of Wano as i was for example in WCI when Luffy defeated Katakuri and got a Billion bounty, and that of course a failure of the story, as would make much more sense for ALL the community to be super hyped about Kaido and BM defeats, but i'm not also dissapointed as most of u guys, to me was just "yeah, ok, that's pretty much what i was expecting to happen, lets move on to next"
