Powers & Abilities Why do people make CoC so complicated?

I don’t know, it’s always baffled me.

The second that a completely unimportant character like Chinjao had it should have been a sign that Oda was just going to toss it around like Toriyama tossed around being a Super Saiyan.

(And you could argue that started a few chapters earlier with Doffy getting it. Or even go back to Hancock).

There was this perception from before the timeskip it would just be the Yonko, a few important Ds, and one or two others that would have CoC, and people just were unable to accept this wasn’t the way Oda was going and kept coming up with these baffling “rules” to stop people having it. “He cried once, he can’t get it!” “He doesn‘t lead anyone!” My personal, dumbass favourite of “Marines can’t have CoC.”

When really the only two things that mattered was
-Ray saying most people who had made a name for themselves have it
-Chinjao saying it’s all over the New World.

Watch oda make Akainu don’t even have coc and made luffy and allies to have extreme difficulty fight.
Sabo will help luffy to fight Akainu if Sabo is alive.

The fans willl go crazy on oda.

Akainu has way too many enemies of luffy side to truly have 1 vs 1 fight like Yamato (kill her boyfriend), Sabo, Luffy, Garp (if he still grudges against Akainu abkut killing ace), everyone who love luffy and ace.

Yup, its just like everyother haki powerup
People were saying no one cam touch luffy with advanced CoO now, and now saying anybody with Advanced CoC is invincible while we will be proven that someone without it can keep up or defeat someone with advanced CoC

You literally can increase your CoC power, therefore willpower, and people unleash that power in different age due certain circunstances.

Is not that simple. Is actually a very bad written power.

--Coc is applicable to lot of people -- It is something oda decides to give and not

--For example kidd was perceived as one of the more relevant SN with bounty > Luffy's in pre time skip -- Give him coc

--And adv coc is also diluted imo -- While yamato is one of my fav characters her having adv coc means most of top tiers bar may be fuji or kizaru will have it

Its very simple, you are born with it and unlock it when your will power reaches its peak.
No it's not. You need an extreme situation. Every haki works like that. And by the way CoC was designed, literally everybody has CoC and you can't proof otherwise.

I doubt Oda gave Kidd CoC just because of his bounty if at all, in fact he earned it by committing heinous crimes. That doesn't necessarily require CoC.

Its simply just strong will power, anybody with highest will power is born with it
Now people make it about amibitions and goal and being king and bullshit, why do yall make it so complicated? We literally have people with low ambitions have it.
I don't think it's about strong willpower, but rather the ability to force your willpower on others and not submit to theirs. Luffy and Zoro are an anomaly compared to other conquerors

Big Mom for example doesn't have a strong willpower as someone who can't even control her sugar addiction. Compare her with someone like Brook who lost all his friends and had to roam a dark, gloomy sea alone for 50 years without going insane, i think he has her beat in the willpower department even though he doesn't have CoC

"Low ambition" is relative. As you say yourself, it's about willpower.

The second people compare it to Super Saiyan is when they have it wrong. Freeza feared the prophecy of a single Super Saiyan... the fact that it became common doesn't change its history, and makes it unlike CoC. Chinjao reinforces that, even by your own understanding. the sun god, Joy Boy, or the pirate king would be your Super Saiyan equivalent, and Chinjao states that the latter is the ruler of rulers, not that being a conqueror in itself is the important designation.

Most posts I see aren't coming up with rules, but trying to explain a basic concept of being a dominant figure, because people have it so wrong that they think it's a Super Saiyan equivalent.
