Just because he got less panels time than other characters doesn't mean that he's less important. Oda already said that he has big plans for Kidd so just be patient since everybody will shine in this arc.

Well the fact he is fighting Kaido again is already big by itself, there's no need to perpetually expect something from Kidd. I think he shall provide some contribution somehow yes, but it's out of reach to expect him to do more than 20% of the job against a yonko (for now) in my opinion.

While i have disaspoiment about it, i think it won't affect Kidd impact overall, (Kiku and kawamtsu have more time then more important characters) Kid still can shine if Oda make him right (BB in MF as several People mentioned,) so just wait and see what gonna happen
