Questions & Mysteries Why does Oda give Sanji such little hype?

But you wouldn't take Aohige's words, a famous and reliable translator that is actually Japanese ? The only thing you needed ealier was a panel because anything coming from a translator was just "hearsay", now you need a translator :choppawhat:
I don’t know who Aohige is. I have engaged with and read Den Den Mushis work tho.

Also that comment did not direct me to a panel. So there’s that. I just need a panel and a translation side by side from a credible source. That’s all. Not as big as a deal as your making it out my man.
Do better lol

Three strongest, but really 2 strongest and a YUGE gap between the third

AKA THE ROOF DUO and............... the trio sanji doing..... something
Of course, it's like saying the top 3 users in WG are Final, Haa and Lanji (based on the numbers of messages) but there is a gap between them. But let's see if Oda talks about M3 again after Wano because Jimbei now joined the SH, it could be also the Monster Cuatro or just Monster Duo, who knows :catpole:

The thing is... if such HUGE gap exists between Luffy and Zoro as a duo and then Sanji, the concept referred in the story should be "the monster duo" to begin with. This isn't an abstract ranking and that's it, this is a ranking that must be reasoned as why taking those numbers and not others. Why is the highlighted concept "monster trio" instead of "monster duo" if Luffy and Zoro are both so, so high, or why not "monster quartet" if the difference between Luffy/Zoro, then Sanji, then Franky (for example) was of big gaps between each group? Why take "the three strongest" spots instead of the "two strongest" if there's no actual strength clue to highlight Sanji alongside Luffy and Zoro?

Luffy/Zoro are more highlighted as a duo than Luffy/Zoro/Sanji are as a trio so what exactly is your point...?

Then why the explicitly referred concept in the story is "monster trio" instead of "monster duo". That's the point. What is the criteria for the characters and therefore Oda to highlight them as a trio of monsters in strength instead of focusing only on Luffy and Zoro. Saying that "they are the monster trio because they are the three strongest", as I've seen here, is completely empty as a reasoning because it doesn't address the actually important part, which is why "three" was the number of crewmates chose as their monsters if Luffy and Zoro are such a duo significantly above the rest and even close (if not equal) in power, as some state.

Sanji is plenty strong himself, tha issue with him so far in New World is that. He’s jus strong enough that beating him makes you a credible threat, without making you a Top Tier. Unfortunately it basically means that Sanji till this point is a hype tool for newly introduced Vilians, like we saw what Doffy did to Sanji and immediately most everyone was like “aight bet, this **** jiggy. He jus slid on Sanji ass(pause for tha phobes)”

Even further back, he was Vergo hypetool. Like when Law one shot him everyone again knew “ aight Law tough as hell. He jus one shot someone that was around Sanji lvl”

When was the last time monster trio been mentioned?

i said in other post, after TS Luffy and Zoro duo is more apparent than monster trio, and with jinbe joined it's like the nail in the coffin for M3..
