distance clearly isn’t a factor, wouldn’t Mars telepathically communicate that he needs to come back and have Saturn bring him back into the fold?
Hmm the only explanation I can think of is maybe he can only do it once a day or something?

Mars is still flying, and he could even be damaged (even if he can regenerate, it could take longer depending on the damage he took)

But in case that he isn't currently flying:

-He fell deep into the sea and is still trying to get out of wherever he is.

-He landed far away from actual land, which PERHAPS makes it impossible for him to come back because he needs to land on proper ground to be summoned (i think it makes sense tho)

-If distance is a factor, he landed way too far to be summoned again (this option is the less likely one)

-idk if that makes sense but perhaps the Gorosei can only teleport themselves around together as 5, not being able to do it alone. That would explain why did Saturn came along with Kizaru and his fleet, when he could've simply teleported to Egghead from Mariejoa if he wanted to.
:quest:

When he shows up again (if Oda cares to explain why didn't he came back to Egghead), then all that should be properly explained.

We don’t know that, it’s not like we were shown the cabin he was in before the summoning

what we were shown tho is Marejois, and it showed a summoning circle linked the egghead
He only arrived at most a few minutes after Bonney switched the Pacifista though.

even the marines in the spot seem confused at it

and from what we see of the process, it looks like the circle almost comes after the black lightning lands, or at the very least it took Saturn zero effort to bring them here.

Ofc the Marines were shocked, Saturn was on the ship

the summoning maybe part of their powers, but it still has some rules. My guess is they need a surface and Mars can’t find one right now

“Woah a magic pentagram”

They’re reacting to the giant pentagram in front of them first. And we know nobody set them up for the rest of the Gorosei, it happened too quickly.

You think they drew it? I am saying they probably can choose where to surface, but they’ll need a surface on their end to link it. Mars doesn’t have that

Saturn was the one that summoned them before and we see there is a not I consequential range from Saturn in which he can summon them.

I don’t see why Saturn can’t bring Mars back on the land not far from him. Or on the boat.

Because again Mars requires a surface for his own circle? You can’t see because you don’t want to
