He doesn't use haki because he doesn't have to use it. He is toying with Kizaru and if he uses haki it'll be over. How will he play around if it ends soon?
Also put Zoro's swords away and he will be cut. Cant you use your mind to understand this small thing? Anyone who doesn't use a weapon to block will be cut. Baka.

I mean the light sword just grazed him so it kinda seemed to get the drop on him a bit but with Kaido's slashes, I guess he was just getting overwhelmed. Luffy in G5 is pretty capable of turning things around even without constantly having armament coated on his body, plus doesn't that waste haki and energy? Probably better to let lose and fight recklessly since it fits his style in G5 then use what he deems necessary when pushed. That's how I see it anyway.
Some garbage AOE Kaido spits out in dragon form isn't really impressive at all. Killer deflected 2 at the same time. While rayleigh was sweating, huffing and puffing against the light sword.

Getting pushed back while being mid air! What a surprise…
Either way he got cut cuz he didn’t use haki why he didn’t? Ask Oda… be it plot or just extra tension, Oda didn’t even let Luffy use advCoC so far… so plot to increase tension is needed.
Because he's weak to slashes no matter what. Should his haki allow him to negate his DF weakness? Probably but Oda doesn't want it to work that way, that's his kryptonite.
