Also let's not forget how he selfish had Ace in this world and then turned himself in so he doesn't have to take care of him knowing pretty well he would be hunted down for life for his mere existence.

World government killed mothers not Roger, Pirates went to sea to be free and which is impossible because of World governments tyranny. Rogues suffering is on marines not Roger, he is not deadbeat since he made Garp took care of his child he was a caring father. Squaldo was a piece of shit who betrayed White beard even after all he did for him only because of a petty revenge which shows he wasn't good to begin with. Luffy is still not Roger lvl and since he inspired Luffy who will save the world that is gopd enough.

I give you a point, it was incredible irresponsible to have a son, he knew he was dying, he knew the WG would not let it go, it would put his wife in danger, it would make his son life hell.

Literally the only person in this fucking manga who reached, not only an avarage high position, but the peak of the sea, without plot armor, divine DF, an important dad or mother or family, ancestral weapon, strong allies ecc
