Questions & Mysteries Why is it that 99% of authors are bad

Like seriously I’m not just talking about One piece but authors from across the boards, non of them satisfies me and every show is lacking in some way I have been waiting for the perfect show for ages but it just never happened. Is that human limitations at play?

but seriously ancient stories and stories of the past are a lot better than modern ones

do you agree?

You know it's all subjective right? You'll never get everyone to agree that any one show is "perfect". For me Bleach was that perfect show that wasn't lacking anything, but others would probably disagree especially with Kubo being forced to end the manga way too early.

What is the perfect show for you?

To me plot conveniences and breaking the logic ruins a show, just like any other show bleach has these too. Like when a character stabs another character but he conveniently “missed his vital organs” even though they showed blood coming out of his mouth lol. Or when a character is about to finish off another character chopping him in half but that other character still survives for some reason. I swear these authors are the stupidest creatures and they lack normal common sense. I don’t even know how they are able to live and function like regular people, someone who thinks like that is demented

As someone who wrote like 80 pages of a book in high school before giving up.

Writing stories is hard as fuck.

Like having cool ideas for stories and settings, but actually writing scenes with fully realized characters and situations is super freaking difficult.
I understand but an example of what I mean by bad writing is in this video

it’s old but funny

It is very difficult to write a book now..Because whatever idea you have, thousands of books have been written in that field...Because whatever idea you have, thousands of books have been written in that field

Hahaha yeah you're right it is pretty stupid. Like how TF is Kinemon alive? If that is your definition of a perfect show though, then I think the only manga/show that has come close is Death Note. The rest of them are absolutely illogical even within the Universe that has been built.

Imo, manga-manhwa that are so close to being perfect in their fields are:

- Vagabond
- Ai-Ren
- Haikyuu
- Eyeshield 21
- Monster
- Bastard
- Friday: Forbidden Tales
- Gosu

7 out of 8 of these works are completed (except Vagabond).

Berserk is already not perfect imo since the author's tones already changed to a more comical and light-hearted one in later chapters, a clear sign of idea exhaustion to portray the atmosphere and grit.

Manga author writes the story but also draws the pics so its double difficulty and exhaustion.

Don't listen to people who say "it's all subjective"; Those are people who gave up sharpening their aesthetic sense because they find it too troublesome to judge the quality of artistic works properly, so they just try to simplify it saying that "it's all subjective".

Sure, it's hard to find a writer comparable to Shakespeare or to Alexandre Dumas nowadays, especially in the West because of how much writers have been infected with cultural marxism, but at least comparing old Japanese writers to new ones, I say that the new ones are much better.
New technologies also allowed new types of literature, which have their own unique value that could not be found in old works, so even if the overall writing quality of things written nowadays is not as good as the one of things written in the Elizabethan or the Victorian Era, for example, I don't think this is a reason to disregard new works.
As time passes, some good things are lost, and others are gained, and the quality of the drawings of manga authors, such as Oda, is certainly one point of improvement in comparison to the past.

I confused Haikyuu with Days and wrote a comment that I read a chapter last week.

The side effects of reading too many mangas :josad:
