Questions & Mysteries Why is Jinbe's bounty so low?

#21
My point is they do not have full knowledge. We see many examples of notoriety which aren't fully justified.

Not to mention unreported kind things Luffy has done, and never killing anyone. Also like the post above points out, there are different reasons for bounties.

And if you REALLY want me to justify it in yet another way, I can simply say there is also the matter of money value changes with time. A thousand dollars now are not the thousand dollars 10 years ago :yasu:
What is this based on? Did they not have full knowledge on Luffy, Robin, Franky?

The unreported thing is irrelevant, if oyu mean making it public, since the Government does not need to give reasons to raise bounties, they simply do it, and still hide the reason behind the increase, case in point Crocodile, which made Luffy a Supernova already in Alabasta, yet nobody knew what he actually did to earn that, which was a huge deal in Jaya right after.

Which would also mean the bounties should be corrected for inflation.

Yes, not making it public, but also marines not being aware of what the pirates are doing 24/7. Crocodile example you used is the government being afraid over Luffy being strong enough to defeat their pawn. Panic.

It's based on exactly that, not clear limits as to why the bounty is up and why it's a certain amount. Robin is a prime ridiculous example of random bounty giving. They considered her "dangerous" and created the notoriety. Was she really as dangerous as her bounty implied? It depends on the point of view. I would say not. It's not a fair system, that's the realistic part. The government considers threats to its existence more dangerous than violent or strongest pirates, that is why it's not measurable. Case in point Dragon - I am sure he's strong - I am even surer he has such a high bounty because he is aiming for a revolution, not because he is the strongest.

The bounties that remained the same over a number of years were certainly not corrected for inflation, nor would anyone bother to.

This is completely baseless. You are literally applying your personal headcanon in regards to the office who give out the numbers.

Robin is one of the most dangerous people in the world, literally.

I think Jinbe is not someone who causes lots of trouble by himself

The WG KNOWS who he is.... they dealth with him... they even if he sided with WB during that war... they know that he's the type of man who is not about damaging and hurting civilians... he's not the type of guy who would actually randomly attack Marines just because they are marines and he's a pirate....

In other words... they have dealth with him... And even both of Akainu and Aokiji apparantly have DEALT with Jinbe at some level during their past:

1- Akainu when Jinbe blocked him and protected Ace: Move aside Jinbe... you already know how strong I am (meaning Jinbe witnessed Akainu's power at one point closely.. maybe on a mission together or some shit)

2- Aokiji Aplogizing to Jinbe for Freezing the sea.. when he was escaping with Luffy... Aokiji statement of apology is somewhat indicating that he on some level has some respect to Jinbe....

I can even add Sengoku himself with his line:
"Of all people... you chose to side with SH against us Jinbe"

The point is... regardless of whatever Jinbe did during Marineford.. and regardless of how strong he is...there are just few FACTS:

1- Jinbe is more calculated... not reckless pirate... so on his own... he doesn't go destroying worlord.. challenging Yonko like Luffy does... so his bounty if it grew... it will grow SLOWLY.. on minor events... on the other hand.. it's highly expected that he will have a big jump after this BIG WAR arc along with Zoro and Sanji..

2- Jinbe is not the type to try to seek destruction or harm civilians or Marines just because he's a pirate and they are marines...

3- Marines know those two facts above about Jinbe because they have been close to him when he was Shichibukai

Lastly, there was a cover story for Caribou... and we actually see in that cover story that Jinbe beat Caribou... and THEN he turned Caribou to Marines at some point... it just shows you the type of character he is...
