General & Others Why is Mihawk getting wank based on Xebec? Mihawk wasn’t WGS when Xebec was alive.

Mihawk is considered to be the greatest swordsman of One Piece which means the GOAT of swordsmen.
So anyone who uses a sword in their fighting style is automatically < Mihawk. Even Shanks got packed by Oda.

People were saying swordsmanship is different and used a certain kanji in order to isolate Mihawk and his title.
But hey, Xebec's style is also different but still Oda used the same kanji which means Xebec is part Mihawk's team.

People got fooled by their own arguments.

Yeah but Xebec died before Mihawk became WSS. He is excluded from the title. Shanks got packed tho.

Xebec is a weaker version of both Mihawk and Shanks. He's done nothing both of the couldn't do. As if a swordsman from the great pirate era, is beating the WSS in the greatest pirate era.

What complete and utter nonsense.

You don't even have to include xebec in Mihawk's title to understand this. Mihawk has made the strongest blade in verse, whilst Xebec is going to die blackblade-less. WSS has the strongest blade for a reason. Mihawk tells zoro to surpass his sword.

Why would the person who is known as the best in the greatest pirate era in the narrative where said narrative relies on said person to be the pinnacle of swordsmanship for Zoro to surpass, be weaker than a swordsman just 40 years ago? Are people seriously trying to say Zoro was born in the wrong era?

So you all probably think Loki is right when he says this as well, when this is clearly just set up for otherwise.

It's so clear as day to me, but it's good to know Oda's story telling is working despite on all of you insisting it's so trash, because you do exactly what's expected so you can just be surprised later on.

Mihawk fans don't have much else to work with beyond his title. Not like he has been performing all that well in terms of feats. Much of what they claim is basically just head cannon.
