General & Others Why is Oda not respecting official heights of yonko ?

According to their official height :

Big Mom 880 cm

Kaido 710 cm

Whitebeard 666 cm

Yet in recent chapters we see Whitebeard is drawn as tall as Kaido but by all means he should be shorter by head .

Also Big Mom should be 170 cm taller than Kaido difference should be very noticeable yet she is drawn at same height as Kaido during entire Wano arc .

Is he literally throwing those numbers at random ?

Are those 3 meant to be equal at height as rivals ?

this is one thing i don't mind oda fucking up tbh

cause it's kinda hard to keep heights perfectly consistent for hundreds of chapters. And he also uses heights according to the scene to set the atmosphere, situation or mood.
I know he cant be consistent or perfect and if height is similar it does not matter.

But 170 cm is exactly the height of average human being isnt that kinda too much and difference in height while not precise should at least be noticeable ?

Height inconsistencies have always been a thing lol. It's not even an Oda issue, most stories are like that.

The Transformers wiki for example has an entire page talking about how fucky scaling is. My boy Omega Supreme for example went from combiner size to above average in the Marvel comics for example.

And then there's Legendary Godzilla randomly going from 110 m to 400 m for the Golden Gate Bridge scene, Way Big from Ben 10 doing the same...

FFS even human characters do this in other manga, like:

These two dudes are supposed be only 5 inches apart in height lol.

It's all about portrayal, the author will generally focus less on written sizes and more on who "feels" bigger.

One Piece is all about the romanticization of reality.

The purpose of this specific story is not to be accurate to real life dimensions or physics, but to deliver each messages in the most "romantic" and the most impactfull way possible.

Reading One Piece, is like looking at life with a massive magnifying glass that only maximize the thematics and hearts of the messages in the panels.

So it's logical for Oda to completely break out of the reality of heights or perspectives or even physics.

It's not random. It's on purpose
