No hate but I really doesn't understand why Zoro have bad sense of direction and always lost his way .

Luffy like to eat a lot since he is influenced by garp , ace and his DF ability

Sanji is simp and can't hit woman since he is inspired by zeff .

Why is Zoro have bad sense of direction?? is there any strong influencer or reason other than just a comedy value?

We've seen that Normal Compass doesn't work in Grand Line but works outside of it in Four Blues
Since Zoro's Sense of Direction doesn't work anywhere, it's basically Oda indirectly telling us that Zoro doesn't belong in this World

He meets a Shinigami? He talks about Death a lot? He said he is King of Hell? He said Heaven will know my Name? Asura? Cross? ... etc
Zoro belongs in the Afterlife, that's where he wouldn't get Lost & can easily guide people like it's his Home

In East Blue SHs had Normal Compass, then they Upgraded in Grand Line & then they Upgraded again in New World to a Trion Compass but who said it's gonna be their Last Compass?

Mark my words, SHs are gonna travel to Afterlife sooner or later & their Compass is useless there, but Zoro isn't
And what is the only thing he always manages to find? Sake!

And i won't bother to explain to you the importance of Sake in the Story
But know that Zoro lacking Sense of Direction isn't a Gag, it's simply another Major Foreshadowing about his Role at the End
Or at least when they travel to Afterlife

Getting lost easily is just a trait of his. Nothing more.

Oda likes to use it as a gag, and most of the time he uses it as a way to put Zoro in certain situations like stumbling upon something or someone. It’s a way to advance the story and blah blah blah.

Well is for comedy every character has his gags but yeah with some characters it explain like nami and money though with zoro case there's no explanation just like robin saying scary things
Kenpachi also didn't have an explanation and in more mangas you'll find more characters with the same gag getting lost is a gag that is inexplicable

- getting lost looking for mihawk cause he doesn’t know how to navigate

And turned it into a defining trait and overloaded it to being unable to run in a straight line

Hopefully oda will explain why Zoro has no sense of direction in the final arc . Might be related to his king of hell status in which he travel to other realm ( dead / hell ) where his sense of direction activated properly there .. or maybe oda still didn't show us Zoro other childhood memories that affected his sense of direction.
