Character Discussion Why King and Queen will never be impressive

  1. They will never get as much focus as Cracker or Katakuri, two characters who served as direct obstacles to the main character therefore receiving spotlight display of their strength and abilities in full prolonged fight sequences that lasted hours in-universe until Luffy finally overcame them and leveled up.
  2. Wano has too many fights happening concurrently and Oda doesn’t give a rats ass about focusing on them, he just wants to advance through the arc so no time to give losers feats.
  3. Far more important characters got their fight scenes shafted completely
  4. Case closed
Also give up this foolish dream about Lanji fighting either of them. If he does it will basically be off panel like Luffy vs Hybrid Kaido or Kid vs Big Mom so it’s not even worth hyping up to begin with, and it’s just going to make the two look worse than they already do.

Imagining Lanji beating Cracker or Katakuri is damn nigh impossible but against the zoans it’s feesible because they have a trash first, second, and third impression.

I agree in part as far as role in the ark, but they are obviously far far more hyped than Jabra and Kaku. Taking down a Yonko commander is a big deal in the one piece world no matter how much spotlight is dedicated to them during the ark. It’s unrealistic to think they’ll be as fleshed out as Kakakuri who was for all intents and purposes the final villain of an arc. But I think they are obviously comprable from a strength standpoint. When you say they won’t compare to him as far as sheer character I definitely agree.

Oda had plenty of opportunities to focus on King Queen Sanji etc but Oda instead choice to focus on Yamato running around nonstop fighting fodder, or Sanji filler content regarding Black Maria, or Nami and usopp just running around doing absolutely nothing. Oda decided that was more important than focusing on King, Queen etc

And of course they will not have as much as Katakuri considering he was Luffy's arc ending matchup. That would be silly. Whole Cake would've had to have been exceptionally mediocre for Sanji's Wano matchup to outshine Luffy's previous arc matchup

And that b*** oda îs gonna fully heal Zoro șo he can beat king, just șo he can get bigger bounty then sanji that will likely beat queen and get 1,4 billion.

They have not had more focus than Cracker lmao. They have Smoothie level portrayal basically
