I'm fine with it because I don't want to see people pass away, doing that isn't what makes someone the strongest anyway, it's defeating them

Most deaths in OP are like that. Are you new to OP?

  • Ace was gravely injured to the point where Garp asked if he was still breathing (alive) in ID
  • Whitebeard, when shot by the BBPs, had already suffered dozens or even hundreds of other wounds and attacks.
  • Oden had been boiled alive but was still hanging on.
  • The old witch, well, she’s the best example in this whole story.
  • The 3 Daimyo, despite being starving, are the best case we have, to be honest.
  • You forgot Hyogoro’s family, who weren’t in terrible condition, and Kaido killed 19 of them.
  • Guernica is like the others.
  • Luffy, who, despite having accumulated damage, so did Kaido—anyway.
