Powers & Abilities Why Mihawk's swordsmanship is the greatest

#61
Haki only blooms in life or death situations.
Zoro came out the timeskip missing an eye.... I'm pretty sure Mihawk wasn't playing around with their sparing....

And I ask, if Haki is the only thing that matters, then why didn't Mihawk at least tell Zoro about Black Blades, or AdCoC, or Future Sight, or anything else pertaining to high level haki?

He literally says to train in in the way of the Sword...

And cut the bullshit, one tiny two second flashback of Mihawk telling Zoro that he shouldn't break his blades anymore, so he needs to learn Haki, is not proof that's all Mihawk taught Zoro...

And If that's the case, and Zoro spent two years solely training his haki, and that's the level he was at coming out of the time skip, then he's a bonafide scrub. That means Luffy learned and mastered in two weeks, what it took Zoro two years to accomplish. Hell, even surpassed it, cause as far as we know, Zoro doesnt even have internal destruction... Ouch...
Luffy had 3 extreme diff fights and 2 power ups and was worse on the roof than zoro with none. That's the level zoro came out the timeskip

This is factually false, canonical nuances have been given to distinguish the swordsman's skill from his overal strength as a fighter and also regarding differences between how people use their sword and what swordsmanship itself is.

You can still believe that Mihawk is the strongest fighter who uses a sword, but it's foolish to ignore the canon nuances on swordsmanship.
I said MIHAWK IS THE WORLDS STRONGEST SWORDSMAN BECAUSE HE CAN DEFEAT EVERY OTHER SWORDSMAN IN THE WORLD

Why is this so hard for people to understand? There is no governing Swordsman organization that decides who is the best swordsman… No specific sword feat or sword style that when accomplished automatically makes you WSS… There is NO SWORD SKILL that makes you the WSS

nothing besides BEING STRONG… You have to be a able to defeat every other swordsman,.. And then you get the title

do you want proof… Do you want proof that only winning fights makes you WSS… Your proof is the 1080 chapters of the One piece manga where a character named Roronoa Zoro never once says anything similar to the above nonsense… The only thing Zoro ever says about achieving his WSS goal is… “I MUST WIN”

Zoro’s one and only promise to Mihawk was that HE’D WIN UNTIL HE FOUGHT MIHAWK AGAIN… He never said he’d achieve a better sword cutting feat… Never said he’d obtain the greatest sword style… Never said he’d even make a black blade (yes it’s our own reader headcanon that black blades are a WSS feat but that’s headcanon…. in the story, Zoro never once claims that it’s important in any fucking way to his dream)…

The one and only thing that ever matters when two swordsmen fight is whether one wins the fight over the other… And the Swordsman who can win all the fights with every swordsman on the planet… Is Mihawk

"Please Mihawk, teach me how to be the WSS. What's your rep routine? Lift, squat, bench? Or bench, lift, squat?"

This dude really thinks Zoro was begging Mihawk to teach him how to work out... Wow...
@Celestial D. Dragon
No, it was more like “Mihawk Teach me what I need to win fights”

And that’s the correct request because… winning the fight is the only thing that matters when two swordsmen fight… not what style they used… Not who was physically stronger than who… Or who was faster than who… It’s who wins the fight that makes one the stronger swordsman

Why didn’t ray teach luffy about Coc coating? When Mihawk said learn to coat your swords in haki he never said coa so that means it encompasses coc too. Moral of the story to get stronger Mihawk told him start coating and that’s all Zoro has needed

I didn't say teach him. I said least tell him about it. You guys are the ones claiming skills don't matter for a Swordsman , only Haki does, and that's all that Mihawk taught him. What Ray did or didn't teach Luffy is irrelevant. Mihawk either isn't a very good teacher.... Or there was more to Zoro just learning the basics of Haki over the two years.

If winning is all that matters, then why don't Zoro or Mihawk eat devil fruits to become even stronger?

What else has zoro incorporated in the past 20 years of this manga to improve his swordsmanship besides haki and physical strength ? Cmon man

Can't wait to see the cope once Shanks starts to haki kickbox

:steef:
Give it up you lost this battle your hakiman nonsense ended in ch 1079 not that it was ever a thing to begin with because haki isn't something reserved for shanksu everyone uses it to enhance their fighting styles

Tell me, what did Mihawk do that was so different than what Zoro does, that made Zoro admire the way he deflected a bullet?
Mihawk showed how powerful he was by not being fazed by gunfire and could deflect bullets with the slightest movement. That’s not swordsmanship that’s a difference in strength and it kinda is a coo feat

And so, when Zoro said he'd never seen such subtle Swordsmanship, that was what?

Next question. How was Kuina able to defeat Zoro, who was able to defeat adults, that were physically much stronger than her?

We don’t know that kuina was weaker than those adults . We can assume that she was talking about falling behind in comparison to zoro and men strong like him . If you want to be that literal it doesn’t matter how skilled a little girl is she isn’t beating a grown man with a sword so we can assume she was physically stronger then those fodder

That's weird.... A child who is already physically stronger than adults, worried about becoming weaker than adults, when she becomes an adult... Doesn't make a whole lot of sense...
[automerge]1681607770[/automerge]
Also, why is Zoro so bummed out that he can't beat Kuina, despite being able to beat adults? If he viewed her as physically stronger than the adults, then he wouldn't make that comment...

Because she’s the only person around that he’s losing to? Regardless you’re trying to say that swordsmanship is a separate part of zoros arsenal . We’ve been reading this story for 1080 chapters and that hasn’t been the case . It’s strength and haki . That’s all that matters

Except, it's not stated anywhere that strength and Haki is what makes a Swordsman. Skill, however has been highlighted on multiple occassions. Even to the point, where it's explicitly stated Mihawk is more skilled with a Sword than Shanks. Why wasn't physical strength and haki highlighted?

He can't beat every swordman
Or else he'd beat Shanks and have more wins
Or else he'd beat dominate Vista at least

Being WSS isn't about beating swordmen even
Zoro hasn't been fighting swordmen in NW
Mihawk hasn't fought top swordmen nor won

Show me 2 examples of zoros sword skills in the manga then

As you know I love arguing. It’s my favorite thing ever

but not with you. I’m sorry Ndule-Chan. You have literally no credibility to be worth arguing with about anything… ESPECIALLY when it comes to Zoro

I literally think you can’t say ONE correct thing about Zoro..: like Can you even spell Zoro’s name? I don’t think you can
