Questions & Mysteries Why Oda has not revealed Luffys mother?

Will luffys mother be relevant to story at all ?

so we get his backstory in... the begin (Chapter 1), the middle (Post-War Arc, right before the start of the second half of the manga) and the end
that makes sense tbh

On one hand I hope it is because we are already iver inflated with the "important parent" but onbthevother there is also Oda giving more space to daddies instead of mommies (Roger and his wife, Garp and his ?, Dragon and his ?) while also there is an overwhelming majority of important and strong male characters compared to females (just Nami, Robin, BM and then maybe Boa and Vivi).

Either she's going to be incredibly important later on in the story whether it be in Dragon's flashback or in the present storyline

That or she's irrelevant and will never have any sort of importance in the story. Probably getting a name drop and design from a SBS or something if this turns out to be the case.

I think Oda will definitely reveal her at some point, probably as part of Dragon's backstory; it could probably coincide with his beginnings as a revolutionary, and also with him leaving Luffy to Garp's care.

Whether she is alive or not, we can't say for sure, but with Oda's history of killing mothers in flashbacks for 20 odd years, it doesn't look too good for Luffy's mom, unfortunately. :whistle:

I still think Luffys Mum is a Celestrial Dragon. They met when Dragon was at MJ as High Tier Marine and was settled to protect her. It went desastreous, they got attacked, they could hide save and fell in love. From her he learned alot of the history and the mysteries of the CD, but the 5 elders found out, so they got splittet and Luffys Mum got "captured", inprisoned in MJ. Before that she got a Son with Dragon, Luffy.

Thats why Dragon went to Revolutionaries, to save his woman and the mother of his son. Also it would make Luffy a D-Clan-Member and also a Celestrial Dragon, the worst of both world.
