Normally, you should still associate a picture/image to a name to recognize someone. If I heard about Trump all the time but I don't know his looks, I won't recognize him if he's standing next to me.

Anyways that statement from Sanji is vague, need to see the raws to know what exactly he said but "What's the deal with this monstrous giant" could imply that he could sense something off between what Loki's actually saying and he's current condition. Could also simply be him trying to to catch up with the current state of tings as he doesn't know all that much about Loki (i.e. a monstrous giant in Loki is suddenly threatening to ruin Elbaf if he isn't set free)
Tryna frame it as Sanji being scared really sums up some of y'all mofos on here

His question is still about what's the context about Loki, as he wasn't present in the previous 2 encounters : Luffy Zoro in the first, and Luffy Zoro Nami the second time.

So what Sanji asked is still valid & reasonable. We know because we're the readers, Sanji doesn't know that.

You realize that’s not Luffy responding to Sanji right? Also why are you so butthurt? I’m not even clowning Sanji I’m laughing because they didn’t respond to what he said.
