Character Discussion Why Shiryu killing Mihawk (SKM) is perfect writing

Not a single point mentioned giving any reason as to why any of BBP would ever fight against Mihawk or basically CG when they have nothing to gain from that. Not to mention the revenge plot line is the shittiest plot in terms of wrting
You should be more worried about your goat getting folded in half by Teach. He's already traumatized the Snitch with that scar.

I disagree with Shiryu beating/killing Mihawk and taking the title from him but I do kinda feel the same way about the Mihawk/Zoro training thing
It did wonders for Zoro character wise but now it makes the challenge feel a little fraudulent. After being trained by Mihawk it feels more like Zoro is waiting to inherit the title rather than claiming it for himself
Plus it feels a little unfair. Zoro was trained by the World's Strongest Swordsman and (as far as we know) the only living person to forge a black blade. That's a huge leg up over anybody else that wants to compete for the WSS title. It's honestly similar to the problem I have with Luffy being trained by Rayleigh over the timeskip
The other Supernova had to thug it in the New World for a few years to get a grip on Haki and improve while Luffy was trained by the RHM of the Pirate King. At least the other Strawhats were trained by scrubs in comparison (besides maybe Franky since he got to learn using Vegapunk's tech)

Zoro getting trained by Mihawk means nothing. It's not as if he's copied any of Michael's techniques.

Good writing is to some extent subjective, some people really won't like a deviation from what was *promised* early on, while some people don't like something expected. As long as Zoro achieves his dream in a great sword duel EOS, I don't think it matters too much. However, not much has been built up with Shiryu wanting Mihawks title yet, so I would say that's my issue
I will be honest and crazy with this...I think Blackbeard's time will be when the Elders and Imu have been taken out. Once that hax, that threat has been removed, Teach will come with a new hax, new threat, that has to be taken care of. So yeah it makes sense for the Blackbeard Pirates to outscale everyone else.

I even understand, Mihawk is Zoro's teacher and he seems to be more of a good guy than some kind of villain or cruel person, it also doesn't make much sense to have a serious fight against someone like Mihawk who doesn't have any big goals while Luffy will face villains like Imu and BB who think about conquering everything.
That said, Shiryu is treated like a fodder and the bald gorosei there doesn't seem all that special to me either, so I don't know where Oda will go with this.
