Oda had no idea how high his bounty system would get in the future

Ya'll remember the times where we thought that Dragon will have the highest bounty with 1B while the Yonkou are somewhere between 800-1B?

Everything turned to shit after Jack's intro.

Ace's bounty is fine where it is. When it was first introduce, it was a high bounty. Probably the highest bounty introduced before the NW saga began.

I think Ace was YC2 honestly, he was in charge of the second division after all

Also his clash with Aokiji is underrated. Aokiji himself stated Ace could have given him at least some little troubles.

He probably didn't have good showings besides beating veteran level character so most of his bounty comes from being the Whitebeard's commander.
