According to you guys:
Marco is low top tier/admiral level with a bounty of 1.5B+
You think he can still stalemate FS/current luffy or even win.
Yet he had WB's crew, allies and territories for a year but nobody ever crowned him as Emperor or even Candidate!
the world doesn't even call him Captain but just ex Commander of WBP!
Excluding beating Commanders :
- Luffy without Yonko ally, Territories and a small crew = Yonko candidate
- Teach with his crew being weaker (shiryu didnt have a df...others didn't too except those who had already) and lacking allies/fleets like WB had = becomes Yonko after taking territories
This is the same guy who was rivaled/fought many times with Perospero in the past.
So a dude who is above Katakuri /fs Luffy or equal to them, couldn't even be known as Candidate for a year?
Why would the OP world still count vacant the Yonko spot if Marco was really Great as you guys say?
Even with WSS, you got DR Law and DR Zoro being candidates coz they showed amazing cutting feats.
If you use Gorosei words...it doesn't nowhere state Marco as Candidate or Yonko and we know they said "perhaps Marco & remnants ..." and reality hit them hard as they lost badly.
Morgans/WG didn't deem to hype him as a candidate.
Another proof is Wano :
Oda has him failing to dodge Basic grab while SNs are dodging 2 Emperors at once, hurting them yet Marco can't hurt anyone.
Even Retainers did better vs the WSC than Marco + WBP did vs Akainu.
No top tier will be overshadowed in Wano by mid tiers or be treated as some backup support and idea. (Fuji presenve was felt throughout the arc despite not being on the frontline)
It doesn't make sense for Marco to not be Yonko or candidate especially when you see he had everything WB had under him and is so called "top tier".
Either Marco isn't above Katakuri (which is fact as BMP fought WBP with Pero being the one to have fought Marco a lot.)
Or
Marco is a fraud whom the world of OP knows that he has no amazing record and influence in NW
The fact he wasn't even candidate or Yonko despite having everything that makes a Yonko... tells you that Marco was never top tier or whatever you guys claim. (This applies to Doffy too)
Payback War proved that Marco wasn't even close to beng a candidate as he lost badly to Pre Yonko Teach (current Teach is still the weakest Emperor)
One Piece World :
No VA was Admiral candidate except 2 (Tokitake and Gion) but tAkainu stull chose 2 guys (Fuji and GB) from draft over the VAs.
No pirate in NW was Yonko candidate or Yonko level except Gura Teach (this is why Gorosei and pirates kept talking about how he is rising or will take WB's place shortly after MF war.)
No Worstgen is yonko level (including Luffy)
Currenlty, no one is Yonko candidate among SNs and Warlords except Luffy.
