Even if the Gorosei turns out to be god tiers and makes Admirals looks like "Yonko Commanders" in comparison, doesn't change the fact that an Admiral can curbstomps multiple actual Yonko Commanders as proven by Aramaki and such.

The Admirals are portrayed as the strongest fighting force of the Navy and acted as a "shield" of the WG. And the Admirals have better designs and characterization than the Gorosei anyway.

So I would still stick with the Admirals even if Gorosei > Admirals in strength.
