Speculations Will Akainu kill the 5 Elders?

#61
Before Imu i liked the ideia of Akainu trying a coup against the Gorosei ans transforming the WG in a military dictartoship, but after we learn about Imu and them about Nika, it become impossible, as Oda clearly want Imu to be the final villain, as he is the anti-JoyBoy and Akainu become just a minor subordinate.

Still think a part of the Navy will try a coup, but will be the good guys as they join Luffy side in the final war.

He can "control" the world through the military but not lead it. Akainu is not a person to lead the world, the Gorosei are far more suited for that.

I think he just upholds the existing laws just to the extreme.

I think Akainu can be more reasonable. GB and Lucci are the same level of fucked up. GB thinks he can slaughter human beings because they live in a place that's not tied to the WG plus he thinks prejudice and racism is needed for a healthy world. Lucci straight up enjoys the act of killing and works for the WG because he can kill without consequences.

Pick your poison lol
We’ll see if this ages poorly, but Akainu staying loyal to the Gorosei is one of the things I’m quite sure about. His epithet is centered around loyalty. He’s always followed orders, whether he’s liked them or not. The Gorosei backed him for fleet admiral, while sengoku backed Kuzan. His goals are upholding the law and ridding the world of evil.

Fujitora and Ryokogyu are both rebellious, but in opposite directions. Fujitora rebels as someone with more pacifist tendencies, Ryokugyu as even more of a hard-liner.
