Every volume of Elbaf except the latest one (Vol. 115) has had 11 chapters. Last chapter was an exception, as stated by Oda, because he wanted to end it with Imu’s first appearance as the cliffhanger (Chapter 1179). Chapter 1180 would be the 11th chapter since the end of the last volume, chapter 1179. Of course there is always a chance the volume is only 10 chapters like a couple were in Egghead but I don’t’ think Gaban stopping Imu’s attack cliffhanger worthy.
Even those of us who are expecting Gaban’s death think it will come after a couple chapters of him getting Imu to monologue about the Void Century but Volume order may point to the fact that Gaban’s death could far more abrupt than we all assume as the cliffhanger for Volume 116.
