Questions & Mysteries Will IMU or Blackbeard be the Final Villain?

My hunch is it will be Blackbeard . He will gain Imu’s power and become king of the world and luffy as King of Pirates will have to fight him .

Imu is like overarching villain more like Emperor Palaptine character he likes to control things behind the shadow .

That analogy only strengthens the case for Imu. Palpatine was the overarching villain for all 3 Star Wars trilogies. Without taking out Palpatine himself, the conflict doesn’t end. He bore the ultimate responsibility for most of the atrocities in the story.

Besides that, there is no way for Blackbeard to gain Imu’s powers that isn’t overwhelmingly stupid. It would also mean that after losing to Luffy in becoming Pirate King, they just leave him to wander around and cause trouble again. It just becomes an exasperating attempt from a loser to pointlessly extend the fight after the main 800 year old conlict has already been resolved.

Palpatine was openly ruling Galaxy, he is not hiding that he is the Emperor, he is showing his face to public whenever he wants.

Imu is actively hiding and not showing himself is proof that he doesn't have the power to be the sole ruler of World without hiding himself.

Roger was PK but WB was his equal who didn't lose to him. Oda creates this parallel on purpose, Luffy takes Roger's place, Teach takes WB's place, so Luffy can be PK but at the same time Teach can still rule new world as strongest man just like WB.

Teach doesn't need to be Joy Boy is better, if he was Joy Boy candidate he would lose before final battle.

Since Teach has different important ancestor than Joy Boy, that also scares Imu like Ancient Weapon Shirahoshi, his role in the final battle is guaranteed.

Auger says they are aiming for the world and BB is special. So BB does have a good chance of being final villain. Both BB and Imu have 50-50 chance for now.

Huh? You think the WG is somehow going to be overthrown before Luffy even gets to Raftel and finds out the secret history of the world?
It’s the battle for the Pirate King that will already be over long before Imu & the WG are taken out.

Also, Imu still hasn’t been revealed yet. They’re still a silhouette even now long after their intro. Besides that, Xebec has long since been defeated while Imu has remained in charge for 800 years. The comparison just makes it all the more blatant.
Xebec couldn’t even make it past the man that wasn’t even Pirate King yet…that same Pirate King afterwards couldn’t do anything about Imu.

Besides that, we already got all of Blackbeard’s commanders too while struggling to deal with the mere likes of Law and getting dismissed by Garp.
Imu’s subordinates on the other hand had a Yonko and his crew fleeing for the hills. And we still don’t even have all of Imu’s servants like the Holy Knights revealed yet.

Also, Luffy is both Roger & Xebec’s successor. Luffy is the one that can gather the other pirates under his banner and actually succeed. Most of the offspring of the previous Rocks pirates are even already accounted for:
Katakuri, Yamato, Marco/Weevil, Hancock, Stussy. Law & Kid are there as well.

Blackbeard is a goner with just Luffy’s Pirate allies taken into account, and yet there’s still the Revolutionary Army and several nations like Elbaf, Wano, etc on Luffy’s side.
Did you think that humongous force is intended for the mere Blackbeard Pirates with Shiryu being their best man? Straight comedy!!!

There is nothing after discovering One Piece, this is practically confirmed.

The Blackbeard Pirates will become stronger as well as the Straw Hats.

Confirmed where? Obviously the One Piece has to be used after it is finally found, and the secret history of the world will have to be given an answer just as Rayleigh said.

Final villains are never introduced like this
They're always in the shadows lurking and pulling strings before becoming public .
Their strongest underlings also pull strings
They never play behind someone hiding as underlings

Also Teach isn't Imu & WG. Even if his family betrayed joyboy in the past,
Joyboy still has to take down imu not Marshall D. To save the world

Kaguya is like the Grand enemy. It took all Five villages / Tailed beast / Reanimated Hokage / So6p chakra and what not to just Seal Kaguya back not even kill her.
And then Naruto proceeded to have the battle of Hokage with Sasuke.

Similarly Imu got beef with almost everyone in the series.
Whereas Blackbeard is more likely to fight Luffy for Pirate king seat.

That's why I said major arc villains. Technically egghead arc wasn't one and gorosei plus Kizaru > Kaido. Kizaru wasn't the final arc villain but gorosei combined.

I agree it is possible but with oda he always goes bigger and bigger.

Kizaru isn't really an arc villain in the same way Kaido, Doflamingo, and Crocodile were. Egghead is a different kind of arc from your Wanos and Alabastas. It's a setup arc where they fight subordinates of the big bad for the saga (or a should say "a" big bad for the saga).

Maybe that’s the problem with most final villains in anime/manga getting introduced late and the fights being mid. Also something you’ll notice in One Piece a lot of the time the matchups are exactly who you think it is. Remember when we saw King and Queen most thought they were for Zoro and Sanji then Onigashima came and people started wavering because of how the plot looked Saying King Vs Marco, Drake Vs Queen, Sanji Vs King, etc and it ended up exactly like we originally thought.
