He probably eventually will in one way or another. The introduction of that whole “immortality surgery” or whatever it was called, appears to be a rather glaring Chekhov’s Gun that has yet to fired.
Regardless of whether he uses this unused plot device or not, Law is a spent narrative force that really does not have much going for him after Wano is done.
Law’s main role in the story was to narratively guide Luffy and co to their inevitable showdown with the old gen Yonko antagonists. His personal character conflict (and supposed “life goal” if I recall correctly) was his life long grudge against Doflamingo but that problem got punched hard in the everywhere by our cheeky MC Luffy and sent to Impel Down, probably for good.
Folk may point out that he is a (supposed) rival to Luffy but there are literally eight other Supernova Captains as well as Blackbeard to fill out this role, so he is certainly not irreplaceable in this regard.
He is also so laughably behind Luffy in power and influence that any rivalry would be beyond one sided. Luffy already has actual territory along with thousands of men who in turn are commanded by decently strong and competent leaders as well as entire nations as allies.
Law has twenty folk who can all be safely labelled as complete and utter cannon fodder.
In the words of the Critical Drinker; “If you are trying to think of something for yer character to do then you should probably kill em’ off.”
Now Oda may be mercilessly memed for his inability to kill off characters but I will point out this.
He only really brings back minor characters whose survival does not skew the narrative of the story as a whole. All of them were also characters that were not particularly popular either.
Narratively important major characters that die, such as Ace and Whitebeard, stay deceased.
Considering that Law is basically the catalyst for the entire plot from Punk Hazard to Wano then he is indeed a narratively important character. He also has a sort of comrade in arms relationship with Luffy. These two reasons combined are enough for anyone to suspect that Law could be the next narratively important and character impacting (i.e. Ace style) death.
