Powers & Abilities Will Luffy be unable to use his Devil Fruit after G5?

With Gear 4, Luffy overuses his haki as a means of empowering his Devil Fruit. And as a trade off for using that power he loses his haki for ten minutes

Pre timeskip Luffy would use his elastic body to grow to the size of giants with gear 3 and the trade off would be shrinking his body.

Like a property of rubber, even though it’s a mythical Zoan, Luffy still has to deal with recoil when he stretches his powers too much.

However this is the first time Luffys ever stretched his powers to such a degree. As such will the recoil be a loss of his rubbery abilities and he’d revert back to normal human for some time.

If so, how long would this last? I think it’s the only way Oda can ensure that Luffys fights from now on has stakes is so that Luffy can’t just go gear 5 in every fight like he does for Gear 4.

Because it’s been a part of Luffys character since pre timeskip. Every gear Luffy creates initially comes with a shortcoming. Gear 4 still has one. Future Sight, CoC Coating, Internal Destruction none of these incurred shortcomings, but Gear 5? Yeah that’s likely too.

g5 is an awakening so it should not have a limit it should be like his haki

I just think is g5 would be like his haki unlimited, because why should he become weak after using awakening when kata and doffy never had any limit

Because:
1. This is the first time Luffy used Awakening. Everyone else had this ability alreadh
2. This is the first Mythical Zoan awakening

g5 is an awakening so it should not have a limit it should be like his haki

This is literally Luffy's first time using gear 5. It took him months to get the hang of gear 4's application and even then he had drawbacks. He's lucky he can magically use his awakening perfectly already.

Kidd and Law very clearly couldn't use their awakenings for long as they're new to them, for Luffy this should also be the case. Sanji had one IJ before he collapsed and Zoro had to risk dying to use Enma to its full potential. Luffy was made a God and you're still complaining that he might not get more?

Doffy and Katakuri had their fruits/awakenings way longer than Luffy, comparing them is stupid.

The point of awakening is to curb those short comings, it's mastery of the DF and opening it up to a whole new limit or ceiling.
