Speculations Will Luffy fight Kid at some point?

Since his introduction, Kid has shown himself to be Luffy's greatest rival (not counting Blackbeard) for the title of Pirate King. So, do you think they will face each other sometime after Wano?

It would be cool if in the epilogue of the series, when Luffy is Pirate King, they face each other as Roger and Shiki did in the battle of Edd War, Luffy and his crew (without the Grand Fleet) against the Kid Pirates.

No, there’s very little reason to think they’ll fight. For one thing- Luffy is going into that fight as strong favourite. That’s not interesting, and it’s not how Oda has done things in years.

Another reason: the crews. Zoro has already beaten Killer, we don’t need to see that fight again. The rest of Kid’s crew are garbage.

Finally, Oda is pushing the series towards the end, and there’s very little reason to think he’ll waste time with a pointless Kid fight.

I would prefer a clear cut direct comparison more TBH. Maybe something along the lines of Blackbeard showing up in the paper for demolishing Kid despite his growing hype post-Wano, and then Luffy convincingly defeats BB near EOS
I personally wouldn't wanna see Luffy defeat Kid because he doesn't have that "my willpower is stronger" advantage that he could very have over everyone else in the serious(excluding a few)

But the fight would still be cool even outside of the narrative so I'd like it nonetheless

You are giving Kidd way too much face. He will end like Law, another Luffy cheerleader (probably a tsundere version), the SN are just put there in the arcs to spice the things a bit and also Luffy already show superiority towards Kidd at least one or two times. What is to be expected is that now in this battle we will see a big gap between Luffy and Kidd&Law just like the gap that was shown between L and Law when Luffy fought Doffy.

After Wano SHs would have 3 low top tier (Luffy, Zoro, Yamato) and 3 high tier(Sanji, Jinbe, Franky). There's no chance for Kidd pirates to win if they have serious battle. That's would only wasted of panel. Maybe in epilogue at end of series but it would be off-panel.

I know that Blackbeard is the ultimate rival, he is the dark reflection of Luffy. But Kid has a lot of parallels with Luffy:

- Highest bounties (not counting Law) among SN
- The two have another SN in their crew
- Both formed alliances to confront a Yonko

Maybe in epilogue at end of series but it would be off-panel.

There's a chance they will fight but right now Kidd would get kicked soundly, there's no other way. Not even PIS could save him, since Luffy is the most protected character anyways.

Its heavily hinted that Kidd's crew has suffered heavy loss (possible crew dead) which lead Killers mental and emotional breakdown..
Without proper crew we can't expect them to match strawhats, Oda might hype them but we know the end result..
