Speculations Will Luffy's Bounty surpass Roger? (read the first post)

so ... why on earth Luffy should have a high bounty?

Bounty = Danger for World Government
Luffy = Hero of future World Government


Luffy HAVING a BOUNTY after the final war makes no real sense ... let alone a +5.5 Bil Bounty

He will become the Pirate King before he goes against the WG, so yeah... His bounty will surpass Roger's after that.

World government will fall but the world council and the marines will still exists and even if Luffy will be the responsible for it, they are not going to erase his bounty, he is still a pirate no matter what he does. Shanks also looks like a good guy (according to Sengoku as well) but his bounty is over 4 billion. Piracy is not allowed, good or bad doesn't matter, so the world council and the marines will still increase the bounty of Luffy and even Luffy's allies can't say anything about it.

Also Blackbeard might have end up as the final villain after the fall of the government and after world council and the marines takes over so the piracy competition could still continue between Luffy and Blackbeard.

Luffy’s likely gonna approach or surpass Roger’s bounty after he’s involved with two Yonko defeats in Wano, no question he’ll have a higher price on his head than the last Pirate King before he faces off against the WG. Also, even if the government is reformed after the Celestial Dragons are removed from power, there will still be “good” and “bad” guys on the seas; let’s not assume the bounty system will suddenly disappear at the end of the series. Those prices are set by the Marines, which will not be abolished as a political body/military force even if Akainu and the admirals go down as they aren’t inherently evil like their superiors...I could absolutely see the Marines operating autonomously as the keepers of justice, they’ll just be far less cruel and absolute under the command of someone like Koby (who loves Luffy), Smoker (who respects Luffy), or Drake (who’s taking his cues from at least one of the aforementioned two).

It’s a tricky one.

First of all, the World Gov isn’t going to fall, it’s the Celestial Dragons that will. There will be a new system, with new (and old) leaders. Bounties will still exist, because there will still be evil pirates around.

However, Luffy himself really should not be considered a criminal at this stage. All the new leaders of the world will be his friends and allies. They won’t want Luffy captured.

But there’s also the fact that Luffy... really likes having his bounty? He’d be gutted if he didn’t have one anymore, look how happy he is when he gets a new one, and how upset he was when he thought it went down. Luffy likes being a pirate, he likes being a wanted man on the run from good Marines like Smoker and Coby. Would Oda take that from him? Make Luffy a world wide hero, despite Luffy himself being horrified by the idea?

I suspect that the route he’ll go will be a psuedo-Alabasta like ending, except this time it’s Luffy himself asking that they cover up his great deeds so he’s not widely considered a hero, but more of a beloved outlaw, like he is right now. Tell Coby and Smoker they‘ve still to try and catch him if they can, picking fights with whoever he wants.

So I’d still say he will have his 5.6 billion bounty that surpasses Roger, and it’ll come after the final war.
