According to Kizaru, Mythical Zoans are even rarer than the Logia type.

In the manga, there are currently 9 known Mythical Zoans:

To refresh your memories: Luffy's, Kaido's Devon's, Marco's, Sengoku's, Orochi's, Yamato's, Stronger's and Onimaru's,

There are 13 known logias. 14 if you count Katakuri's.

The logia users we met in the main story are: Smoker, Crocodile, Ace/Sabo, Enel, Kuzan, Teach, Borsalino, Sakazuki, Karasu, Caribou, Caesar, Monet, Aramaki

I have a feeling that we will get introduced to quite a few mythical zoans in the future.

Spoiler: It seems like the Gorosei and Imu all have zoans of some kind

Teach will also undoubtedly get a mythical zoan too, most likely a new one.

There are also quite a few characters who may have mythical zoans. The Elbaf leader, the man marked with flames, a strong Holy Knight, Dragon(though he might be a wind logia). Some of them could be logias as well too of course.

Oda seems to be very stingy with giving logias to characters. There was a long gap inbetween Caesar and Monet's fruit reveals, and Aramaki and Morley's fruit reveals. Outside of the obvious wind logia, I can't think of many logia ideas that aren't similar to existing fruits. Oda may be running low on ideas for logias as well, while with mythical zoans, he has an almost infinite amount of sources for inspiration.

Now, this begs the question, by the end of OP, will Oda have introduced more mythical zoans than logias? I am learning toward yes.

It makes sense for a lot of top tiers to have Mythical Zoans, because they combine Logia and Paramecia properties, on top of having incredible strength and regeneration.

Look at Marco: he has flames that heal. Healing is a Paramecia Fruit, while Flames are obviously Logia.

Hell, look at Kaido, producing fire, magma, lightning, etc.

People really might hate Mythical Zoans by the time the series is done.

I get that people are annoyed by the "rareness" being diminished, but we are talking at the cream de la cream of the world, people from now on represent less than 1% of op world.

As far as logias go: only earth, water and wind are left.

Doubt it, Kizaru said they are even rarer then logias and I dont see him being wrong.

Yeah that statement from Kizaru is getting debunked. Oda often overrides statements he’s had in place for a while since even he can’t foresee the scale of this story, so Mythical Zoans eclipsing Logias wouldn’t be surprising

Yeah that's a big possibility currently
When Kizaru said that he had no idea the Gomu was a mythical fruit for example, and as for the Gorosei, there's a chance they have god fruits that constantly get recycled in Imu's garden so no one might know about them

Well, says you. Oda could easily make all of those logia powers. They are all naturally occuring. Insects is probably the most inventive of the possibilities, but given how we have a forest logia, an insect logia isn't out of the question.

The difference between an insects logia and a zoan is that whereas a zoan would let the user turn into one specific type of insect, the insects logia would let you turn your body into insects(plural).

There are plenty of things Oda could make into a Logia fruit.

Earth
Dust
Acid
Sap
Steam (Yes Caesar can theoretically control all gases, but smoke is a gas yet is still its own Logia, so there can be overlap)
Plasma
Alcohol
Oil
Etc
