I don't think blue flammes would fit him, I came to associate blue fire with cool-headed and precise and smart characters after watching Azula in ATLA and Sabo doesn't fit the bill.

No because we wouldn't see the difference on panel. He'll just become stronger (strenght and haki) and use his DF with more efficiency (combined with his haki, possibly awakening).
I don't think oda ever thought about colors when it comes to the mera mera no mi. Besides it would be redundant with Marco's fire.

That may be his Awakening . and if he were to fight Akainu , he'll awaken towards the end of the fight

personally i don't like if he gets Awakening by the time of final war though , because Ace himself who had years with Mera Mera didn't seem to have it ( otherwise he'd have blown other Commanders out of the water )

Luffy and Teach also doesn't have Awakenings yet despite been years with their DFs , for other examples

but i guess he could get it for plot reason

Sabo mastering the Mera Mera no Mi in a matter of weeks/months in the canon timeline when Ace couldn’t do it for however many years he had it would be an even bigger slap in the face to the continuity than Sabo’s continued existence itself. Admittedly, it would be the one thing that really justifies his presence in the series, as he could at least draw out the full potential of his fallen brother’s powers, but that’s not enough for me.
