Controversial Wit Studio weird reanimation choices

How weird are those choices?

They are making over 40 minutes long episodes. Why!? It will be exhausting to watch specially since they are promising better pacing. It should be too much information in a single episode. And they are ending it at the middle of baratie arc right when Mihawk is about to fight Zoro? Just to leave people hyped for continuation? Or to get feedback and maybe adjust the fight if needed?

Would be the best to keep regular size episodes, basically double it, and to animate the whole East Blue Saga at once. In my opinion.

It's a remake

Most of the people who will be watching it will have already watched the og.

Also, 40 minutes is just 2 episodes bro. People binge Netflix shows. That's the whole point of Netflix. So making them 40 minute episodes is fine.

They're stopping at baratie because it's adapting 50 chapters. So prolly they'll look for both feedback and cliffhanger ending to build hype for the next batch. It's basically a 24 episode season like a modern anime is.

I am more worried about Wit's staff and talent. They are not the studio they once were. Hopefully they deliver.

14 episodes. But yea and that's not my complaining.

The main purpose of remakes is to bring new viewers. Specially the ones who are afraid of One Piece for it's length and pace.

And I told about feedback but I still find it a bad strategy. Would be better to have a closure than to stop at the middle of something.
