Russia bombed nearly all of the essential military bases in the first few hours/days of the war. Ukrainian resistence is so defunctional they have to resort to guerillia warefare and fighting in cities. Which makes progress really hard unless the Russian stop caring about civillian lives.

A country does not ask for a no fly zone, get in foreign conscripts, arm their civillians or make them build molotov cocktails if they are winning.

Taking Kyiv was also never an objective. Taking it by force would really increase civillian suffering. You can be thankful that Russia is not interest in doing that.
Demoralizing of people ofc, believe me or not but ukranian soldiers who fight in Mariupol are people who borned in Mariupol, also ukranians from Charkiv who kill russian forces borned in Charkiv. That's true that in Mariupol there are also people from Lviv or other cities, but this is duty of man to protect own home from invaders who want to burn you with your city. Now how destroying home could demorilize? Well, woman and old people could start crying that better surrender then let enemy fire missles in to your city. But thing is that no one is doing that(maybe small numbers). Masks was taken away and people understand that right now they have to fight, othervise they will became low race nation. This is not news that if muslim with arab appearence will walk in Moscow everyone will see something wrong in that case of his nationality. Nope, you are wrong, feeded by russian propaganda. Everyday Russian forces bombard Charkiv and Kiev with all might but they cannot enter the cities, case they always pushed back. Again Mariupol is just small example of what ukranian army is able to do. 20 days russian army who surrounded ukranians cannot conquer the city. Why? Russian sources every day keep saying that today Mariupol will be taken, but ukranians fight back and defend that city. Also speaking about columns...they dissapeared somewhere(burned) by smart tactic. Those clowns believed that ukranians will surrender when will just see russian vehicles. Well, ukranians just decided to burn em all :D
Yes, it's true that our army was losing first days, but then we created tactic that is still working and working perfectly! We just remembered how our grands was fighting against nazis. I can't say what exactly we are doing, but this tactic never ages : D
