The rules:

-The rules are simple, vote for whoever you think would win the scenario presented. We will try to do more scenarios than just straight 1v1 army battles to keep it interesting.

-Winners will be determined by poll vote, so make sure to vote and convince everyone that yours is the one true agenda!

-I will try to do as much as I can to keep these tournament scenarios interesting, but definitely let me know if you guys have any cool ideas.

-You are allowed to use historical spoilers in discussions, but spoiler tag them and people don’t have to read them if they don’t want to.

I used a tournament maker app to keep the opening brackets random, but for some reason Duke Hyou and Yotanwa got immediate advantages. I do not know why this is but far be it from me to quibble about my own parameters. Here are the brackets:

Oukotsu looks like a 1000-man commander from the Kanmei army.

so straightforward vs someone who depends on his brute strength as 6gg it means a defeat.

HOHkotsu takes the W here no matter how you look at it. In a straightforward army vs army fight this may as well be another Shibashou vs Ousen, except where Oukotsu has even more experience than Shibashou.

I respect people giving Ousen the nod but this ain’t his scenario lol.

Meh, Oukotsu doesn't have much feats and Ousen has tactics like Shells & Joints that specifically defy brute force tactics.

Ousen victory, high diff. Oukotsu is likely forced to retreat.

Oukotsu seems to be a bad matchup for godly strategist like Ousen. Ousen can easily lure him in and finish him off.

Isn't there a whole debate whether Oukotsu and Ouki are the same person historically and I believe Hara depicted that battle as it being Ouki and not Oukotsu

To my knowledge, there isn't much of a debate as it's accepted they were one and the same.

As Ou Kotsu doesn't have any known feats in the story and Ou Ki is depicted as military god regardless, I think it's only fair and appropriate to attribute to give Kotsu the hype feats attributed to his name.

I'm curious what branch of the Ou Family he was from in the story.
