You could use a RNG maybe and roll the dice as the host
Or maybe there are some dedicated online sites for D&D with integrated dice functions

Tbh, discord + roll20 is a bit taxing on the DM, but overall better than full text mode for the game... I am an on and off DM for about 3 years (sometimes it's a game every week, sometimes it's 1-2 months without a game at all), and frankly speaking I cannot see how it can be done on a forum, especially with people being in different time zones... Like "wait for the paladin's turn for another 8 hours please?" 🤣
Don't get me wrong, I love D&D and sometimes miss playing it (as I am a forever DM in my group), but I'm not sure how you can implement it on a forum.

Would love to try though:)
