Uh can I roll a check to see if I can determine what the stone is exactly?
Okay

Harlan - Still invisible, drinks a potion to heal, takes the stone and tries to move around to the back of the team, and does a perception check by putting his ear to the ground

Virven - Heals himself with Lightning Strike and rolls an int check to try and determine the nature of the stone

Okay, so far:

Virven uses Lightning Strike to heal himself and Harlan. btw @Dr_Professor83 you can't see Harlan right now, so you can't target him with a heal. You can heal Fimrok if you want to.

Harlan, while still invisible, takes the stone and tries to move around the back of his team (to dip?)

@Pot Goblin are you doing something? remember you're poisoned
Catching up now
Been sleepin like shit so I just woke up

Since we're out of combat and initiative order, actions will happen simultaneously

Still invisible, Harlan takes a potion and gets 7 points of Health back.

Virven casts Lightning Strike by snapping his fingers and conjuring a lightning bolt at the top of his own head, instead of damaging him, the electricity heals his wounds and he gets 10 points of Health back.

Fimrok drinks an Antidote and heals his Poisoned condition.

Fimrok - 52/52
Virven - 28/32
Harlan - 17/20

Fimrok shows discontent as the Storm Lord, Zatarr, turned his prety into ash. But, he decides to look around the area and search for any pieces of flesh left by the Chimera. He finds that the Snake Tail, that was cut up earlier, is still intact and dead on the floor.

Virven focus on the stone that rests on the statue's hand and tries to analyze it. Virven comes to the conclusion that the blood dripping from the stone was the same blood used to make the runic symbols and circle at the center of the ruins, and based on the symbols he has seen before, these symbols were used to cast a ritual to summon things from another plane. Based on this, and the fact that the monsters were Magmin and the Chimera, Virven comes to the conclusion that somebody or something summoned the monsters from the Elemental Plane of Fire.

While Virven is watching the stone, it disappears from his sight, as Harlan takes it while invisible and puts it under his cloak.

Despite not knowing what happened, Virven notices a trail of blood dripping making it's way up the stairs and turning around to the center of the room, behind them.

Harlan drops to the floor and puts his ear on the ground, trying to check for any more threats. But he doesn't notice anything.

At this moment, something horrible happens.

The red circle painted at the center of the room flashes red at the same time as the stone, when Harlan reaches the center of the room, and it turns into a complete shallow pool of blood.

Three stretched and skeletal hands shoot out from the circle, trying to grab onto the three adventurers.

Fimrok was right at the center, focused at finding the remains of the Chimera, and wasn't fast enough to react. Fimrok is grabbed.

Virven, the most alert and focused on the stone of the group, notices the signs and tries to dodge, but not being a very agile fighter and his heavy armor plate hindering his movement, he fails to react in time. Virven is also grabbed.

Harlan, being the one holding onto the stone and lying down at the center when all of this happened had little chance to react, yet somehow he does it! The rogue reacts at lightning fast speed and jumps off the ground and back, dodging the skeletal hand, that retracts into the pool of blood.

Harlan watches as his teammates are sucked inside the pool of blood with extreme speed, without any time to react.

He is the faced with a choice.

Follow his teammates and try to save them?

or take this opportunity to claim the entire glory for the hunt? this would get him up the ranks of the Guild even faster, and that is his goal after all...

Harlan didn't know these guys for very long, there was only one decision to make: take the glory.

"This is for calling me Harvey"

The pool of blood disappears, Harlan collects the horns of the Chimera and leaves the ruined temple behind.

"There's an actual monster i need to kill"

Somwhere in the Elemental Plane of Fire, Fimrok and Virven awaken inside a cave filled with fire and magma. They are still alive, but they need to find a way out, fast!

and just like that, we conclude our System Combat Test #1!

Thanks for the help everyone and i hope you enjoyed playing it.

We can keep using this thread, the PM or the discord server to talk about the test and what do you think of the system.
