all those are pretty tamed in comparison to the dark adult themes shown in one piece

I mean, FMA has themes of genocide and gore all over.
Dragonball has people being impaled, dying in the most gory ways, drained..
HxH also has plenty of gore, even Nardo.
One Piece is dark only in relation to CD almost only.

Way darker is a bit too much.
HxH suffers of the tell not show problem. It tells us that the spiders and genocidial ruthless killers, and when they are shown they only kill bad guys and are overall cool, honorable and nice.
Hisoka kills only bad or irrelevant guys.
The only truly bad bad bad guys doing dark things are the ants, at the start, and the bomber, which again, is 1 against many.
