Character Discussion Would Imu or the Gorosei actually let an Admiral be executed if they accidentally harmed a regular CD?

If Ryokugyu or Fujitora accidentally injured or even killed someone like Charlos during the Reverie, would the World Government actually have that Admiral executed? Obviously the regular CDs would be calling for their execution because regular CDs are short-sighted morons, but would Imu and the Gorosei actually be willing to lose a highly valuable asset? It’s not like regular CDs actually provide any value to them

Likely not, after what Fujitora was able to get away with in the Holyland itself- literally fighting another Admiral to help free CD slaves and potentially hurt CDs around them during battle- this CD untouchable status is coming off very mickey mouse to me.

What made it worse is Garling actually executed a CD for doing far less than Fujitora. Clear sign they aren't doing squat diddly to the Admirals.

The word "accidentally" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.

Call me a cynic, but I reckon people in power will always gladly throw one of their own under the bus if it means maintaining the status quo. If an Admiral committed a deed like that in a one-off, the other CDs might be willing to just say Charlos deserved it and he was actually a traitor or something, just to keep the train on the tracks. Just an isolated incident of unfortunate collateral damage *wink wink*.

I don´t think Imu actually gets involved in like, day to day politics. I could be wrong of course, but it doesn´t seem like he really follows the breaking news or events, and is probably focused on bigger things like, bloodlines etc.

I assume the Gorosei would have different opinions. In Egghead it was made clear from Saturn and Mars that the official government ideology is that humans are like insects, you can kill them and they will eventually reproduce, but they have shown some diversion for whatever reason. Saturn originally decided to leave Bonney alone and Mars told Lucci he wasn´t necessarily interested in saving the cipher pol agents, but he did eventually do it. So it would just be a matter of what the Gorosei decide, based on how useful the admiral is, and if they think the ¨accident¨ could happen again or be covered up.
