General & Others Would Intelligence Ruin One Piece

People always say that if luffy were more serious and analytical, that he would be a boring zoro clone. Slapstick stupidity isnt the only kind of humor. He can be charismatic, silly, and at least have average intelligence.

Why cant all the strawhats be semi intelligent? I cant get over moments like the monster trio not discussing haki with the crew. You learn this magical power that takes you to new heights but you dont share it with your beloved crew members?

Not even a "hey, have any of you experienced any of these sensations?" Just in case they've unlocked it before or in case they expirience it later.

Or how about always using Coo when in unknown territory. How many traps do the strawhats fall into, how many times have they been captured and tricked. Stop trusting people you met 5 minutes ago, i.e. pudding and lilith. Characters dont need to be dumb to push the plot.

I cant see the strawhats exhibiting forethought being a negative.

Oda just wanted to put up fake tension. Like, Oda would make Luffy forget to use FS at some occasions (against Apoo for instance).

They all spent the timeskip getting strong in their own way, and they all achieved (that to varying degrees) so they probably dont see the point of it, it would be like Franky trying to teach cybernatics to Zoro

You cant compare learning haki to learning cybernetics. Cybernetics is super niche. Learning haki is more like learning to type without watching your fingers. Some will be better at it than others but everyone can get better with practice and your typing proficiency will skyrocket.

As a competent leader, does luffy not worry about chopper running into a logia?
