In terms of how much I'd like him as a villain he'd be one of the best especially with his back story and personality

But in terms of threat level to the strawhats pretty low on the totem pole

The op op definitely han EoS lvl potential.
Doffy connected it to his plans to overtake imu.

I think the biggest thing oda could play on is Law personality swap. In theory, he could create the ultimate crew. An example would be like Ace vs Teach.

Only after the battle instead of turning Ace into the navy. Instead he swaps out Bepo(a unless fodder)with Ace!!! Gaining the reputation of Ace + his logia, and strengthening his crew. Instead of a bunch of random lvl 6 fodder we know shit about. We could get established abilities we know.

In theory he could swap old legends out with fresh younger body’s. They keep their own haki, and regain youth. Create smile like creature like Kaido crew.

In theory if Law defeated S-hawk/Ace right. One week he could have Bepo train as Ace,then the next S-Hawk. Giving the crew the ability to create different interactions with the same character. Like Ace normally fodderize low tier SHs. But if some low tier heart pirate in his body. You could have them pull off a respectable win.

He'd 100% end up being a Vegeta type who does all sorts of shenanigens but is beloved by the fanbase, gets a redemption arc, is thirsted over by many, has more power fantasy/yaoi fanfictions written about him than anyone else...you know the kind.

If it was a 'twist' at any point it would feel kinda cringe with how inconsistent his writing would be as a result, but if he was written that way from the jump, he could pull it off really well. He'd be a smarter crocodile-type villain than doffy at least lol.

As an ally, he saved the MC on a whim and yeeted from multiple top tiers, he became a Warlord just to troll the govt, changed the gears of the world, fended off an Admiral while telling his allies where to escape, fought Yonko back to back

Without Law, the SHs would be stuck in Punk Hazard and end up as Caesar’s playtoys getting gas-diffed by his oxygen depletion

There’s a reason why Law was considered an honorary SH. Mfer was doing more than everyone except Luffy combined

As a villain, Law would be the Blackbeard equivalent except more cunning and with powers that could change the course of everything (the “Ultimate” DF)

Crocodile and Doflamingo still might be better villains.
Better than Kaidou , Katakuri (Not strength wise) but Character Depth.

Doflamingo has an essence of Psychopath to him.
Law’s drive for revenge surpasses no other person. He was willing to throw away the chip of pitting Kaido against Doffy just so he could have the opportunity to take a swipe at Doffy instead for a personal vendetta

Crafty and intelligent but riddled with a strong sense of self, regardless of circumstances. Those are the villains you have to watch out for the most

Law would make an interesting recurring villain, like a man always 3 steps ahead of the heroes trying to move chess pieces around for his ultimate goal
