That’s a very sick way of looking at things.
Leave it to Oda’s nancy boys to compare poor writing to irl deaths.
:risitavirus:
Anyway it’s a known flaw in his way of writing and I wasn’t really surprised Saul is alive, it is unnecessary and I understand if anyone found it distasteful if they are invested in this type of material.
Saul, Pell or Corazon are mid characters that don’t provide unique content on screen so Oda can do whatever imo, I’m more bothered by the death of well written characters like Vergo for example, this is the type of characters you should bring back.
Lol, what will Vergo add by coming back to the story? And Vergo is a well written character while Corazon or Saul is a mid?
You people care a dime about story. It is all about characters you like and characters you don't like. For example, logically Doflamingo should be dead given he is bearing a big secret of mariejois. But killing him making you lot feel bad. On the other hand, you trashtalk Oda if Kaidou or Bigmom comes back into the story.
Oh btw, the comparison is not wrong, emotions are wasted right? Why does it matter RL or fiction.

Most fans felt zero emotion for Ashura and Izo's deaths because they didn't even believe they were dead
It is not because of this reason. It is because their deaths were not written properly. They didn't feel the same way they have felt for Oden. That impact was not there. I dont think people believe Ace or Whitebeard comes back because their deaths were well written. Did Rebecca mom come back to life? Oda bad writing is the issue not the characters coming back.
