Thing is that, lore and mysteries took a lot of time to cook up, while powerscaling is "easier" to speculate.

And powerscaling debates are more engaging than lore and stuff.

If we're only discussing lore then most threads wouldn't even pass even a single page. Then powerscaling discussions on average has like 5 pages or more.

Especially spoilers threads, if the chapter is about lore dump, good luck for that thread to reach 100 pages. If there are characters that show combat feats in the spoilers, thread usually get up to 200 or even 300 pages.

It's a harsh cold truth.

It's a fighting manga. Every obstacle the protagonists come across needs to be punched repeatedly until it isn't an obstacle anymore. That means people come to One Piece to watch fights. This forum especially is fight junkie central.

Mysteries get boring when they are either never answered or have lame answers. Nobody would read One Piece if it didn't have fighting. If this manga tried running on the strength of its "mysteries" alone then it would have been cancelled after 150 chapters.

One Piece is a fighting manga with hundreds of questions and no answers in regards to the overarching story. It isn't surprising that people focus on fights when they are the only regular thing happening even if they can be middling.

I think people become jaded after agenda posting continuously. Especially power scalers can’t enjoy the lore and the story because they see every little thing from their own agenda and hate everything which doesn’t fit their tunnel vision. That’s why I have taken a break from one piece for a while and am enjoying other stories.
