We dont know the gap and how i remember it ace already had his df when he fought jinbei

I remember that the Ace novel (which is supposedly canon) had him get his DF long before he fought Jinbei, at the very start of the novel.

That said he could have gotten better at using it and stronger overall since then.

At this point, there are multiple proofs in the manga where Yonko > admirals. In fact MF should be enough.

Even if it were on Mariejoi , no person with even a little bit of common sense and survival instinct (probably Kong era Admiral aka nameless Admiral ) will hold back at all once he realizes holding back will cost him his life.

Admirals will hold back against inferior threats like Sabo etc when fighting in Mariejoi to minimize damage from his own attack because he can afford to hold back since he is stronger but no Admiral would be dumb enough to hold back at all if he is fighting someone who can kill him. A man has got to save one's own life first .

So i don't buy that that Admiral was holding back.

Also Prime Akainu took 10 days.

Civilian Rocks Pre Pirate Pre Prime killed that Admiral and vanished without a trace. Doesn't sound like that fight lasted for days or even for hours.
Had that fight lasted for even several hours then Holy Knights , 5 Gorosei , Imu all of them would have ganged up on Xebec even more so because he had the will of D (the born enemy of the celestial dragons).
