Powers & Abilities Xebec used a slash, not a “shockwave”

I mean the man is specifically famous for his “shockwave” swordsmanship but after realizing he’s fighting immortals, he pulls out Slash attacks to win.

what does it mean you wonder?

it’s almost like swordsmen can do whatever they want, kind of like Zoro can do slashes and shockwaves whenever he wants, and there’s no point in trying to differentiate swordsmen based in whatever ability they choose in a random day

25 years of OP taught us that the most difficult way of fighting is being a high caliber sword user (generally a sword that can only be wielded by very, very few people) and using Haki only.

Kaido demonstrated, once again, that DFs are free to use power coupons. Kaido, being an allrounder, demonstrated that people who lack the Haki use DFs to complement their strength. You saw Rocks' reaction? He didn't give a fuck. Haki reigns supreme. But Kaido DESPERATELY wanted a DF. Why? To compensate his lacking Haki.

If there's one thing this flashback showed us it's that pure haki swordsmen are the pinnacle of strength. Everything else is steroids and cheat codes.

Pure non-swordsman haki users have it easier. They don't have to tame a stubborn sword. Give Rocks' sword (or Enma) to some OG admiral and they'd fucking die.

What people fail to realize is that these Re-Skins of Shanks are actually Re-Skins of Ryuma, who represent Oda's Idea of a Deuteragonist,
These Non-DF Adv. CoC Users (Most of them are Swordsmen or Blade Users) are actually Variations of Second MC that started with Ryuma,

This is why when it comes to their Hype & Portrayal & Popularity, Oda will suck their dicks just like He loves Zoro's,
Xebec, Harald, Roger, Rayleigh, Gaban, Garp, Shanks, Oden, Ryuma & soon more, all of these are like Alternative 2nd MC,
Mihawk is supposed to represent the Enemy/Opposite of these Guys, so He will never be treated the same as them,
He is the complete opposite of an "Inspirational Figure",

All of these Top Non-DF Users are basically Failed Zoro's, while all those Top DF Users are Failed Luffy's (Blackbeard, Loki, Kaidou, WB ... etc),
So, if these Haters use Aura Scaling & judge based on who's more Popular, who's more Important, who's more Legendary ... etc then Mihawk is obviously not Top 1, but if We talk purely about Power, which is the only reason Mihawk exists, then Yes He is currently Top 1.

First of all Rocks Sword Skills being '' Shockwave '' is completely fan made, was never stated in the manga, ever..

Also is it so hard to comprehend that Oda doesn't want to fully reveal Rocks abilities and simultaneously doesn't want to expose how to defeat the immortality powers just yet.. Oda's just shown the same thing with Rocks than what Gaban did to Sommers, nothing more, nothing less..

BRO NO ONE GIVES A FUCK XEBEC>>>>MIDHAWKS
Your recency bias is gonna catch up to you, and then you're gonna switch up like it was obvious all along

Oda hasn't given any portrayal to Xebec that shows he's > Shanks or Mihawk

The things Xebec has done, doesn't show that other characters in this era couldn't do it. It's cool for example that he was the first to make it to the flower room, and he offed and admiral in his escape, but then you have the gorosei apparently scared of if shanks goes all out, despite having their Lord Imu.

I think Shanks and Mihawk could do the same thing, same with destroying the gate of justice. Just because they literally don't have the same feats as Xebec doesn't mean they're obviously incapable of them.

The thing you should be worried about as a Xebec Wanker, is that he's not yet been portrayed yet to have haki relative to Joyboy 1, and 2 he does not have a black blade that puts his swordsmanship on another level compared to anyone else when it was his era.

2 things he he obviously doesn't have until further notice, that Shanks and Mihawk do.

But who knows maybe he'll forge a black blade before he dies right now vs imu and show off his joyboy level haki :milaugh:

If not you're in trouble.

Mihawk as well represents the "Dragon" that must be slain and overcome, similar to the feat that Oda chose to specifically show us about Ryuuma, although we learn he has many different stories that make up his legend.

Dracule can mean "Son of the Dragon" and so in essence zoro is the son of Ryuuma and Mihawk is the son of the dragon that ryuuma killed in a narrative sense.

The Dragon in a narrative sense is a term used to describe the big obstacle a character must overcome. Slaying the Dragon for Zoro is defeating Mihawk.

Because this will be Zoro's biggest challenge up to that point in his life, you can look at everything he's had to endure as build up to Mihawk's portrayal. Rather than Mihawk getting the Zoro variation treatment as you said.

He is a character another zoro-variaton, the child of fate Shanks couldn't actually overcome. Because he's the MC in this instance, him not being able to beat Mihawk is more of a failure than Mihawk not killing him for example.
